A Nigerian father, Mr. Olalowo Hammed Olalekan, pictured below, was thoroughly beaten up after he and his wife, Modinat refused to subject their daughter to genital mutilation/female circumcision. Right now, they have fled the shores of Nigeria for the safety of their children.

According to Newtelegraph, Modinat Olalowo, who got married to Olalowo Hammed Olalekan, ran away from her matrimonial home, with her children, when she was asked to bring her daughter for the painful and needless circumcision.

Owing to the terrible and painful experience their daughter would pass through, if subjected to such mutilation, Modinat and her husband jointly objected to such traditional requirements of their offspring and insisted that their child would not be circumcised.

A 52 year-old grandmother identified as Eunice Igwe, resident of Asaba, Delta State on Thursday engaged her daughter in a fight (name withheld) and allegedly bit off her ears over the struggle for her boyfriend, a shell worker. 

Reports said Mrs. Igwe a widow, allegedly caught her daughter pants down with her boyfriend somewhere in Okwe community Asaba where she was being pummelled at the Asaba residence of the lover boy before the police intervened. 

It was gathered that Mrs. Igwe’s daughter, a graduate of marketing from the Delta State owned University, (DELSU) Awai Campus, fell in love with the lover boy who works with shell in Warri (name withheld) while she was a 300 level student and introduced him to her mother who fell in love with him.

A father in India has chopped off the hands of a man who was accused of raping his seven-month-old daughter. 

25-year-old Parminder Singh is said to have beaten the 17-year old man, tied him to a tree, and hacked off both his hands, before leaving him abandoned next to a canal. 

The younger man was accused of molesting a baby in 2014, after allegedly being caught in the act by the baby's mother. Police sent him to a juvenile remedial home as he awaited trial. 

On April 19, he was making a court appearance in the Bathinda district of Punjab, when the baby's father apparently lured him away by offering him an out of court settlement.

Judge Jonathan Rose said a prison sentence is 'almost inevitable' and set a maximum sentence for the charges at 10 years.

Man Impregnates Niece; Attempts To Rape His Daughter

Police in Lagos have arrested a 47-year-old man, Femi Kolajolu, for allegedly raping and impregnating his 15-year-old niece (names withheld).

He had also attempted to rape his daughter last November.

Vanguard gathered that Femi had allegedly been raping his niece since 2013 and instructed her not to inform anyone, including her mother.
  The niece, a Junior Secondary School III student of a public school in Lagos, narrated her story: 

“The first time it happened, I was sleeping. My uncle entered my room and forcefully slept with me. “The second time he did it, I was sleeping in my room with my younger sister. He opened the gate, covered my mouth and slept with me. At that time, my mother was in hospital, ill.

Woman Sells Her Day-Old Daughter for N20,000 in Bayelsa State

A commercial sex worker in Bayelsa State, weekend, gave birth to a baby girl and sold the child for N20,000 at the Ovom suburb of Yenagoa.

According to a Police source, the child, a day old, was sold to a family in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

It was learnt that the commercial sex worker operates around the popular red light zone of Ovom along the D.S.P. Alamieyeseigha area, in the state capital.

Spokesman of the Bayelsa State Police Command, Mr. Alex Akhigbe, when contacted, confirmed the incident, saying investigation into the incident traced the family involved in the unholy sale to Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Akhigbe said: “Though the details of the investigation are sketchy, the special unit of the police is on its way to effect the recovery of the baby and arrest the family that bought the child.”

Vanguard Newspapers is reporting that: A 65- year-old man (names withheld) in Kalabari Beach in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State, weekend, narrowly escaped lynching by angry youths for impregnating his 17-year-old daughter.

According to reports, the alleged randy father hails from Ibiasegbe in Oru West Local Government Area of Imo State but resides in Kalabari Beach where he taps rubber.

The randy father, who claims to be an elder in a Pentecostal church, has 11 children from his two late wives and expecting another one from his fourth daughter.

The five-month-old pregnant girl is the man’s first daughter from his second late wife.

Mother Clings to Moving Vehicle to Rescue Abducted 9 month old Daughter in Calabar

A brave mother, Mrs Priscilla Ekpenyong, on Friday damned the consequences by clinging to a moving vehicle in order to rescue her nine-month-old child, Emmanuella, from the hands of fleeing abductors.

Punch reports that the abductors had  pushed the 23-year-old woman out of the moving vehicle, but she held on to her daughter and was dragged on the tarred road for some distance before the kidnapping was aborted by security operatives. The incident happened by the Eburutu Army Barracks along the busy Murtala Mohammed Highway in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

29-Year-Old Man Kills His Daughter Over Plate of Rice

According to a report by Tribune, a 29-year-old man named Kingsley Ekerete (pictured above), has been arrested for killing his own 7 year old daughter over a plate of boiled rice in Obimama, Oyigbo LGA of Rivers state.

Kingsley, a commercial driver who hails from Nto Osung community in Ikot Ekpene Local Area of Akwa Ibom State, holds just a First Leaving Certificate and has to drive his bus daily through the bustling traffic of Port Harcourt to make ends meet and put food on the table for his young family.

Judging from his looks, no one would have taken him for a murderer or imagined that he is capable of killing his own child.

A video showing a single mother from Trinidad and Tobago whipping her 12-year-old daughter with a belt for sharing sexually explicit pics of herself on Facebook has gone viral, sparking a conversation about corporal punishment. 

Last Sunday, a video was posted on Facebook showing Helen Bartlett, a mother of four from Point Fortin, beating her daughter while hurling profanities at her. The 6 minute clip shows the angry mum raining blows on the girl, who whimpers in pain. Oyibo people feel the beating is shocking and call it child abuse but we are Africans and we have probably seen or experienced worse.

The woman has since said she does not regret beating the girl the way she did and is prepared to go to jail to set her wayward young daughter on the right path. She said since their father left them, the young girl has been unmanageable and she's scared the girl will either end up pregnant or killed. Policeman Abducts, Brutalises 8-year-old Girl For Rituals

But for God’s intervention and neighbours help. A mobile Police officer who lives in Ketu would have succeeded in using his neighbour’s 8-year old daughter for rituals. The man who has four cars including a jeep escaped been mobbed because he had earlier dashed out of his apartment before neighbours found the girl in his room. 

Neighbours who peeped through the window saw the girl’s hands and legs tied down and a cloth forced down her throat trying to rescue herself in a pool of her own blood. Policeman Rapes, Impregnates Pastor’s 13-yr-Old Daughter

Vanguard is reporting: A police sergeant (names withheld) has been arrested in Anambra State for allegedly raping a 13- year-old daughter of a popular pastor at Nkpor in Idemili Council Area of the state.

The young girl, said to be two months pregnant told her parents last Saturday who was responsible for her pregnancy.

According to a close family source, who does not want to be quoted, the girl told her parents that the policeman had threatened her against telling anyone about the affair.

The source said the threat made her keep the secret until few days ago when she complained to her mother about some symptoms, which after thorough investigation led to her confession of being pregnant.

A woman, recognized simply as Mrs. Maxwell, has been arrested by the police for allegedly assaulting her daughter, Blessing, with a hot pressing iron.
Blessing, a primary three student of the Lagos Model Nursery and Primary School, Ikeja GRA, was allegedly assaulted last Monday by her mother for licking the baby’s food.
PUNCH Metro gathered that the incident came to light after a neighbour, who lived within the Police College Barracks, Ikeja, with the Maxwells, allegedly called the authorities of the LMNPS to complain about Blessing’s condition. Blessing’s father is said to be a police corporal.

A source within the school, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said, “It was last Friday that we got the anonymous call. At the time, two of Blessing’s younger siblings were in school, so we called them aside and asked after Blessing.

2-Year-Old Toddler Dies After Father Tosses Her Into Creek While Still In Her Car Seat. According to Yahoo News: Arthur Morgan III of Eatontown is charged with killing his daughter, Tierra Morgan-Glover, in what prosecutors claim was a premeditated, jealous rage because the girl’s mother would not get back together with him. 

Assistant Monmouth County Prosecutor Jordan Williams told the jury that Morgan was driven by extreme jealousy and anger toward the girl’s mother, Imani Benton. She had refused to let him see Tierra the previous weekend because he was homeless and living in his car, Williams told the jury.

Despite her initial reluctance, Benton eventually agreed to let Morgan take Tierra to see “Happy Feet 2,” a movie about a dancing penguin. As he drove away with the girl strapped in the pink car seat that Benton had provided, he yelled at Benton, angry over the missed visit and suspicious she was seeing someone else, the prosecutor said.

Father Allegedly Kills Daughter, Attacks Pastor, Others For Converting to Christianity

The Oyo State Police command has arrested a  suspect in connection with the killing of his daughter, Miss Kausara Isiaka for allegedly converting to Christianity.

The suspect was alleged by Reverend Daniel Oladimeji, one of the four persons he attacked with machete that he suspected him to be  the brain behind the attack.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Olabisi Ilobanafor, one Mary Oladimeji, of Calvary Church, Ayekale, Ibadan reported the incident at the station at about 02:00 hours of February 26th 2014.

Though, the police are yet to determine his culpability or otherwise, the suspect allegedly sneaked into the church premises and inflicted machete cuts on the four persons.

Father Rapes Daughter To Get A Job

A 42-year-old father, Pedro Anegbe, has told an Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court that a spirit asked him to rape his 15-year-old daughter to get a job.

He said the voice ordred him to rape the girl shortly after he lost his job and was idle at home.

Anegbe was arraigned on two counts for defiling his 15-year-old daughter (name withheld) at their home on Ifelodun Street, Fatolu Ipaja, Lagos State.

The Investigating Police Officer, Sergeant Bakare Murtala, told the court his findings in the course of investigation.
