Bungling US Bank Robber's $20,000 Slip-Up

A series of blunders helped police capture a hapless bank robber as he attempted to escape with more than $20,000 (£12,000). Firstly he dropped the loot on the floor of the bank in Maryland.

He then took up valuable time collecting the cash into an upturned umbrella he found on the floor. After eventually making his getaway, he slipped on ice and cut his head open.

Still he managed to make it to the getaway car - but all the delays caught up with him as police managed to stop the vehicle and make the arrest.

Father, Daughter Burnt To Death in Lagos, Nigeria

A man identified as Mr. Mathew Adewoye and his 8-month old daughter, Deborah, have been burnt to death after fire gutted their residence in Lagos, southwest Nigeria. The incident happened early Friday morning at  4, Nubi Close, Ebutte Metta, by Park Lane,  Apapa Road.

According to an eyewitness, Mr. Jacob, who lives close to the building, the fire started at 2 a.m. Friday.

“All we saw was smoke followed by fire. All we could do was to evacuate the occupants first before other things could be done.

Chris Brown: Sued For Homophobic Beating

Chris Brown is now being sued by the man who claims he berated him with a gay slur and broke his nose, leading to the singer's arrest in D.C. last fall.

According to Parker Adams, who is suing for $3 million, the R&B star told him "I ain't down with that gay s--t" and proceeded to cold cock him in the face.

Adams says he was outside the W Hotel in Washington when Brown went to town on him; Chris is being prosecuted for misdemeanor assault as a result.
Not to mention, his probation status - for beating the crap out of Rihanna back in 2009 - is once again in serious jeopardy as a result of this allegation.

Nigerian Gays & Lesbians Protest At The Nigerian Embassy In London

Nigerian Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transsexual & Inter-sex in Diaspora held a rally yesterday, Thursday, 20th February, 2014 outside Nigerian High Commission, London, to protest the Same Sex Marriage Prohibition Act signed into law by President Goodluck Jonathan.

According to them, they had to come together to say No to this atrocious law and its blatant violation of their human rights.  They also delivered a protest letter to the Nigerian High Commissioner. In the spirit of Love

Pizza Hut Shut Down After Manager is Caught on Surveillance Video Peeing in The Sink

A West Virginia Pizza Hut has been shut down after the manager was caught on surveillance video peeing in the sink used to wash cooking utensils. Local media reports that the Mingo County health department has ordered the fast-food restaurant, Pizza Hut Corp., in the town of Charleston to shut down following the release of the disgusting surveillance video.  
Wowktv.com reports that a sign has been placed on the Pizza Hut's front door saying the restaurant has been shut down because of "conditions within the establishment constituting a substantial hazard to the public health."

Boy Jailed For Posting Nude Pics Of Ex-Girlfriend On Facebook

A court in Accra, Ghana has jailed one boy, Henry Alibah for six months for posting nude pictures of his former girlfriend on Facebook after she ended their relationship. He tagged the pictures as “Porn star, pay and f***” and even added the lady’s mobile phone number.

Woman Gives Birth to Stone in Yola, Adamawa, Nigeria

Amina Bello, 25-year old woman in Yolde  Pate in Yola South LGA of Adamawa State, on Tuesday, delivered a sizable stone. Bello narrated her story at the opening ceremony of  Vesico vaginal fistula (VVF) free medical treatment in Yola Specialists Hospital. Bello, who is also a VVF patient, told the gathering that after four years pregnancy, she finally delivered a sizable stone last year.

"I was holding a pregnancy for the duration of four years, which I bitterly suffered because of the heavy weight of what is contained in the stomach,” she said. “It was last year around June, I started feeling labour and I was in that condition for three days and finally I delivered a stone.”

She said that it was after the delivery she now discovered that she was affected with VVF. Responding, Dr Sunday Lengmang, Director VVF Centre, Jos, confirmed that giving birth to a stone or any object was possible.

Another Dead Baby Found In UNICAL Female Hostel

An embryonic baby was flushed prematurely and abandoned at hall 8, female hostel of the University of Calabar, UNICAL yesterday at about 19:05 GMT.

A source in the hostel who preferred not to be named told CrossRiverWatch that “I was outside our hostel browsing when all of a sudden I saw girls running into hall 8, at first I was afraid thinking it was a fight but when I drew closer I discovered it was not a fight but rather a dead baby abandoned in one of the bathrooms of the hostel soaked in a pool of blood”.

Continuing, the source added that the baby should be about 3 to 5 months, adding that “The mother is yet to be identified but I’m sure she’s in hall 8″.

After about two hours of consternation amongst the students, the dead baby disappeared and no student was willing to say who had taken the body away.

Cultists kill Bowen Student For Rejecting Sexual Advances

The life of a 17-year-old, 300 level student of Biochemistry student of Bowen University, Opeyemi Odusanya, has been cut short by some cult members in Lagos. It was gathered that the undergraduate was murdered for allegedly rejecting sexual advances from some youths in the area and also for “being too proud.”

Police authorities told Punch that Opeyemi was stabbed to death by the cultists at her parents’ house in the Alakuko area of Lagos on February 3, 2014.

A Russian man, Viktor Jasinski, 32, who tried to rob a hair salon ended up as the victim when the female shop owner, Olga Zajac, 28, who happened to be a black belt in karate overpowered him. She allegedly floored the would-be robber with a single kick, then dragged him to a back room of her salon and tied him up with a hair dryer cable. The husband and manager to famous singer, Tiwa Savage, Tunji Balogun has rubbished reports that the singer was arrested by the police at the weekend for allegedly assaulting a police officer in Lagos. Since last week Saturday, there have been several reports that Tiwa was arrested on Friday night in Lagos for allegedly assaulting a police officer around Eko Hotel and Suites. 

The singer was said to have taken off the cap of the police officer, who reportedly stopped her for allegedly breaking a traffic law. She was reportedly whisked away to a police station in Victoria Island but was later released by the police. Reacting to the development, Balogun, well known as Tee Billz, when contacted on the issue, said that the rumour is false and has no iota of truth in it.
