New Video: Darey Art Alade ft. Olamide - Asiko Laiye

Darey Art Alade fondly called Darey is not slowing things down in 2016. 7 days after the spectacular Love Like A Movie 3, which made international headlines with the involvement of global megastar Ciara, Darey has released the sensational visual to his feel-good track ‘Asiko Laiye’ which features Olamide.

The video tells a story of two male characters going after success in their different endeavours and refusing to give up even after failing with their first attempts.

They try again and end up recording huge success. Shot in Lagos by prolific video director Moe Musa on behalf of Livespot Entertainment, the video features cameo appearances from Ali Baba and Zaina. 

Singer Ciara Joins Darey Art Alade For ‘Love Like A Movie 3’

This year’s edition of Love Like A Movie holding on Friday 28 February 2016 at Eko Hotel Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos is set to feature a guest performance from award-winning international R&B artiste and actress Ciara.

Coming after the two well-received editions that featured some of Nigeria’s finest artistes including 2face Idibia, Praiz, Kaffy, Tiwa Savage and Zaina in addition to global superstars Kim Kardashian and Kelly Rowland, Love Like A Movie 3 promises to redefine the concert series and take it into the future.

The dance diva will be performing at the Love Like a Movie 3 alongside the biggest names in Nigerian music including Omawumi, Yemi Alade, Iyanya, Olamide, Sound Sultan, Vector, Simi, Adekunle Gold, Tolu, Zaina, Sammy, Blackky, Styl Plus, Jazzman Olofin, Weird MC and many more.

Superstar R&B singer/ songwriter Darey Art Alade has released the video for his newest international single “Special Fever”.

The beach themed video, which features Nollywood star actress Rita Dominic as the leading lady, was shot at a private beach in Lagos and was choreographed by Dance Queen Kaffy.

“Special Fever”, which was released last year, is a unique R&B/Highlife music, which describes the art of Love. The single, which was produced by internationally acclaimed producer, Harmony shows Darey pouring out his heart to a young woman who gives him a special kind of fever.

The first episode showcasing the first group of the Top 30 contestants of Africa’s No 1 music talent show, Nigerian Idol that aired on Sunday, March 23, 2014 saw Multi-talented entertainer and King of R&B, Darey Art-Alade lash out at a contestant after a woeful performance.

Royal George, a contestant from Benin performed Rihanna’s all time hit song, ‘Diamonds.’ Aside from having pitch issues, George also made a mess with the lyrics of the song.

“That was a royal mess,” said a disappointed Darey. “Messy lyrics, pitch issues, you know you didn’t do well,” he added.... Video after the jump:

I’m not Discussing How Much Kim Kardashian was PAID – Darey Art-Alade

Soul musician, Darey Art-Alade, says it took him about four months to put the Love Like a Movie Concert together. Darey, who spoke to Saturday Beats, said he would not discuss the amount the American reality television star, Kim Kardashian, was paid as appearance fee, adding that people are entitled to their opinion. It would be recalled that the news that the American was paid $500,000 raised lot of controversies.

He said, “Who knows how much they were paid? Actually I cannot talk about how much anybody was paid, so who cares? Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but we had a great show and that’s what matters at the end of the day. It was all from a dream. We just wanted to do something different; something to push the envelope and be creative. “Thanks to everyone who supported us in cash and kind and all the hard work. We succeeded. The concert took about four months from the scratch, it was totally an original production.”
