DJ Sose, eLDee, Denrele Set for ‘Barefoot & Buckwild’ Jersey Party

MillzNation will stage its highly anticipated jersey party tagged ‘Barefoot and Buckwild‘ at the 360 Bar and Lounge, Elegushi Private Beach, Lekki.

The party will have sensational celebrity DJ Sose on the wheels of steel and anchored by Ben Foster and Reel Radio’s Thereeledot.

There will be guest appearances by eLDee da Don and his Trybe Records crew, Blackmagic, Vector, Chanel O’s Denrele Edun and others.

The party holds 10PM, December  14 2013.

BON/IBAN Bans Several Artists Including 2face, D'banj, Iyanya, Because of COSON

For quite some time now, the Copyrights Society of Nigeria (COSON), has been harassing the Broadcasting Society of Nigeria (BON) and the Independent Broadcasting Society of Nigeria, IBAN, insisting that they pay royalties for playing the songs of Nigerian artists. COSON has dragged several radio and TV stations to court, demanding millions, sometimes billions of Naira in royalty.

Well, it seems IBAN and BON have had enough. Two days ago, they announced the ban of all Nigerian artists registered with COSON. Meaning that they ordered the immediate stop to the airing of songs of artists who are COSON members.

The artists include 2face Idibia, D'banj, Onyeka Onwenu, Iyanya, Banky W, Flavour, Ice Prince, Dr Sid, Olamide, 9ice, M.I, eLDee, Ruggedman, Wizkid, Asa, Waje, Omawumi and several others.

eLDee chronicles his ups & downs in an autobiographical video for the fan favorite "We Made It". With Trybe Records' soulful crooner, Sojay, belting out the heartfelt hook, eLDee takes us back chronologically; from his childhood aspirations of being a rapper, to his Trybesmen days, and finally to his more recent successes with chart-topping hits crowding his résumé and the successful launch of his Trybe 2.0 label.

Banky W has released the official track list for his fourth solo album ‘R&BW’ and former or should we say EME label act Wizkid is missing.

The album features every other recording act  on EME– Skales, Niyola and Shaydee amongst other cameos which include rappers Lynxxx, Vector, eLDee, M.I, L-Tido, Sarkodie, singers Sammy, Rotimi and 2face Idibia.

eLDee tweeted that the highly sought after title "best vocalist in Nigeria" belonged to none other than Trybe Records' soulful crooner Sojay, before inviting everyone to come listen to "Sojay's Room".  Alternating between smooth crooning, and urgent vocals, Sojay does a complete rewrite of the original Drake song "Marvin's Room" adding his own vocal prowess while blending pidgin and the Nigerian setting into his own rendition.
