Doctors At LUTH Accused Of Causing The Death of Married Woman in Lagos, Nigeria

Doctors at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital ( LUTH) Idi-Araba, Lagos have been accused of causing the death of Ngozi Udebu, a 46 years old married woman and teacher at St. Finbarrs college Yaba on March 28th. 

Speaking to the Nation, husband of the deceased who is an estate developer, Ausbet Udebu, said  professional misconduct by the doctor's led ‎to the death of his wife on Easter Monday.  

According to him, the physician diagnosed and treated his late wife of ulcer but the autopsy showed that she died of Asphyxia which is the loss of consciousness due to the body’s inability to deliver oxygen to its tissues.

Narrating how his wife got to LUTH, 56 years old Ausbet said himself and his family members had gone to  St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in Yaba, Lagos to celebrate Good Friday mass and when they returned, his daughter called him that their mother had severe stomach pain.

This baby was brought back to life after his heart stopped. Lincoln Seay was born with his heart on the wrong wide of his body causing serious health complications. 

Four days after he went into cardiac arrest, a heart transplant became available for him. For the moment Doctors were able to stabilize Lincoln's vitals.

But as they were prepping him for heart transplant surgery his heart stopped and he died.

Doctors quickly opened his chest and started manually pressing his heart till they connected him to the heart bypass machine.

Dr. Michael McMullen told ABC News that that process usually takes 2 hours but they did it in 12 minutes.

Doctors Successfully Separate Conjoined Twins in Bern, Switzerland

Doctors have successfully separated conjoined twin sisters fused at the liver and chest - the smallest pair ever to survive surgery.

Five surgeons, assisted by two nurses and six anaesthesiologists, carried out the successful, five-hour operation to separate the tiny identical twins at a hospital in Bern, Switzerland.

Maya and Lydia were born two months prematurely along with their triplet sister Kamilla in December.

They were initially stable and doctors at Inselspital hospital, Bern, had planned to allow them to settle after birth and separate them after a few months.

But after a week, their situation deteriorated dramatically: one suffering from hypertension and the other suffering from the opposite condition, known as hypotension.

40-Year-Old Fetus Found Inside 82-Year-Old Colombian Woman Via NTD is reporting that: Doctors in Colombia have found a 40-year-old fetus inside an elderly woman admitted to a Bogota hospital for abdominal pain, local media reported on Wednesday (December 12).

The 82-year-old woman was thought to be suffering from gastro-enteritis, an infectious form of diarrhea, when a radiography exam at Bogota’s Tunjuelito Hospital discovered the fetus on Monday (December 09).

Nigeria: Three Foreign Doctors Killed At Home

Three North Korean doctors have been killed, one of them beheaded, in northeastern Nigeria.

A gang armed with machetes is believed to have carried out the attack on the men at their flat in Potiskum, a town in Yobe state.

Sunday's attack comes just days after gunmen on motorbikes shot dead nine women administering polio vaccinations in Kano, a major northern city.

The victims of the latest attack had no security guards at their residence and travelled around the city via three-wheel taxis without a police escort, officials said.
