Woman Burns Elderly Boyfriend With Hot Oil Then Stabs Him

An angry NYC woman has been arrested after torturing and stabbing her elderly boyfriend according to NY Daily News: Myeshia Hawkins-Taylor, 38, kept Carlton Adams, 52, locked in the bedroom they shared in a Harlem apartment for about 36 hours and took his phone away, cop sources said.

She finally called 911 Sunday at about 12:30 p.m. because “she thought he was going to die,” one source said. Adams was in the burn unit at Harlem Hospital, in stable condition.

“She was tired of all the stuff he does. She was tired of his nonsense,” a police source said.

Missing Teen With $10 in His Pocket Found After Spending FIVE Days Riding the New York Subway

A missing schoolboy has been found safe after spending five days riding the subway with just $10 in his pocket because he didn't want to clean up after his dog.

Kareem Granton, 11, of East New York, was found Monday morning at the Union Square subway station after a woman spotted him and alerted police.

When he was reunited with his distraught family he revealed that he had left home because he did not want to clean up after his dog, Queenie.

Kareem went missing on Wednesday after he got home from school and went to play video games without permission with a friend after being told to clean up.

The pair then went to a nearby Chuck E. Cheese's to eat and Kareem disappeared. 

His frantic family launched an appeal to find the schoolboy who disappeared after having 'a tantrum in the moment.'

Jay-Z Defends Retailer Barneys Amid Allegations Of Racial Profiling

Jay-Z - under increasing pressure to back out of a collaboration with the luxury store Barneys New York after it was accused of racially profiling two black customers - said Saturday he's being unfairly "demonized" for just waiting to hear all of the facts.

The rap mogul made his first statement about the controversy in a posting on his website. He has come under fire for remaining silent as news surfaced this week that two young black people said Barneys profiled them after they purchased expensive items from their Manhattan store.

Khloe Kardashian Odom and husband Lamar Odom may find themselves on the wrong end of a lawsuit.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and the state of New York have threatened to sue Rich Soil, the couple’s T-shirt Company.  A cease and desist letter has been sent to Rich Soil, asking that production of the “Liberty Tee” be stopped. Why? Governor Cuomo believes this particular graphic is a direct replication (or rip-off, if we’re being blunt) of the state’s “Pride of New York” symbol. The symbol was originally created to identify agricultural products grown in New York.

Morern Art: Tilda Swinton Sleeps In Glass Box.

Tilda Swinton has reprised one of her more unusual roles - sleeping in a glass box.

The Beach actress, who is known for both arthouse and mainstream films, is performing her one-person piece at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

The Moonrise Kingdom star began presenting the work, which is called The Maybe.

In The Maybe, 52-year-old Swinton lies sleeping in a glass box for the day.

Ja Rule: Out of Prison! Back in Federal Custody in Tax Case!

The good news for rapper Ja Rule today? He is officially out of an Upstate New York prison after serving most of his two-year sentence for gun possession.

The bad news? He headed straight into federal custody in a tax case.

U.S. Marshals escorted the 36-year-old out of Mid-State Correctional Facility this morning. He is now being held at the Oneida County Jail in central New York.

The rapper, who had been in protective custody because of his celebrity, has some time left on a 28-month sentence for tax evasion that ran concurrently.

MOM ARRESTED FOR HIRING STRIPERS FOR HER 16YEAR OLD SON PARTY

A New York mother has been charged with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child after she allegedly hired two strippers to perform lap dances on the guests at her son’s 16th birthday party.

Judy Viger, 33, hired the women from a company called Tops in Bottoms and arranged for them to perform in a private room at the Spare Time Bowling Center in South Glens Falls on Nov. 3.

At the party, the women performed what police describe as “personal and intimate” dances with the party guests, some of whom were as young as 13.

Selena Gomez: Targeted by Protesters at an Event.

Protesters targeted Selena Gomez last night. But not because of getting back together with Justin Bieber.

The singer was in New York City, sitting in the front row for the first-ever NEO by Adidas fashion show (she serves as brand ambassador) when a woman handed her a flyer that read:  "Selena Gomez: Be an ambassador for children, not for sweatshops."
