Nicki Minaj, Steph Curry, Taraji Henson, Kendrick Lamar And More Named Among TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People Of 2016

These people run the world! Time released its annual 100 Most Influential People list for 2016 on Thursday, April 21, and it celebrates innovators and icons in entertainment, sports, politics, tech and more! Each honoree is the subject of a short essay written by another notable public figure in their field.

Hollywood and showbiz favorites — Leonardo DiCaprio, Nicki Minaj,Quantico actress Priyanka Chopra and creator of Broadway’s Hamilton Lin-Manuel Miranda — grace four of the six covers. The other two feature Facebook cocreator Mark Zuckerberg and wife Priscilla Chan, and managing director of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde.

The 58th Annual Grammy Awards are well underway today and a handful of your favorite pop, rock, rap and country stars have already been named winners for their work this past year.

LL Cool J hosted this year's festivities, which held at Los Angeles' Staples Center.

Everyone from Adele, Lady Gaga to Justin Bieber, Kendrick Lamar, Carrie Underwood, The Weeknd, Little Big Town and many, many more took to the stage and the world by storm.

“I’m The Queen Of New York, I’m The King Of New York” - Says Nicki Minaj

Though some people consider Nicki Minaj one of the dopest lyricist in the game, she was noticeably missing from Kendrick Lamar’s list of hot artist in his now infamous verse on Big Sean’s track “Control.” Nicki recently chopped it up with The Breakfast Club following her performance at Power 105.1′s Powerhouse 2013 and revealed her feelings on not being included in the list of rappers K. Dot name checked. “I’m probably in the top five he did mention so go and do your research. Straight up and down,” she said. “I also feel like maybe he is one of the respectful gentleman that probably wanted to feel like I didn’t want to say a females name. Kendrick Lamar leads the Soul Train Awards with six nominations, including new artist and song and album of the year; Justin Timberlake, Robin Thicke, Miguel, Chris Brown and Tamar Braxton closely follow him, with five each. The award will be taped Nov. 8 at the Orleans Arena.
