These people run the world! Time released its annual 100 Most Influential People list for 2016 on Thursday, April 21, and it celebrates innovators and icons in entertainment, sports, politics, tech and more! Each honoree is the subject of a short essay written by another notable public figure in their field.

Hollywood and showbiz favorites — Leonardo DiCaprio, Nicki Minaj,Quantico actress Priyanka Chopra and creator of Broadway’s Hamilton Lin-Manuel Miranda — grace four of the six covers. The other two feature Facebook cocreator Mark Zuckerberg and wife Priscilla Chan, and managing director of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde.

Meek Mill Sentenced To 90 Days Of House Arrest But Can’t Release Any New Music

Rapper Meek Mill won’t have to spend the next year in jail because a Philly judge has ruled the Twitter fingered MC can serve his time on arrest according to TMZ reports:

A Philadelphia judge gave Meek 6 to 12 months in county jail … BUT … he will be allowed to serve the time on house arrest. He will do a minimum of 90 days, and won’t be able to do his regular job — rapping and performing … he can only do charitable work for the community.

That ban from work includes releasing any mixtapes. In other words, no diss tracks aimed at Drake … for a while.

Nicki Minaj Sued For 'Stealing' Wig Designs

Nicki Minaj's former hairstylist has sued the star for selling wigs based on his designs. Terrence Davidson made wigs for the singer - who is known for her flamboyant hairpieces - from 2010, the year her platinum-selling debut album Pink Friday was released.

The wigs were a large part of the physical transformation that helped catapult her to superstardom. In the lawsuit, Mr Davidson says he and Minaj's representatives discussed launching a reality TV show or creating a new wig line.

Instead, Mr Davidson said he was later ignored by Minaj who went on to sell branded wigs for massive profits on her website.  He accuses her of harming his business.

Nicki Minaj Apologizes for Malcolm X Photo, Urges End to "N-gga Behavior

Nicki Minaj has come out and apologized for using a photo of Malcolm X for the cover of her latest single, "Lookin’ Ass N-gga." The artist came under heavy fire today for re-publishing an image first used by Ebony magazine in 1961 in which the civil right leader is holding a machine gun. 

In a long Instagram post, the ex-American Idol panelist begins by lashing out at her critics, writing:

"What seems to be the issue now? Do you have a problem with me referring to the people Malcolm X was ready to pull his gun out on as Lookin Ass Niggaz? Well, I apologize. That was never the official artwork nor is this an official single.

"This is a conversation. Not a single."
