Nick Cannon Won’t Sign Divorce Paperwork So Mariah Can Marry Her Billionaire Boo

Despite the fact that Nick Cannon has been running around town with several new boos of his own since his split from Mariah Carey more than two years ago, he’s still throwing salt on Mariah’s new setup with her super-rich fiancee. Apparently even though all their custody and financial arrangements are squared away, Nick won’t go on and make things official so Mariah can start her new billionaire life.

Mariah Carey wants a divorce and wants it badly, but Nick Cannon will not cooperate … TMZ has learned.

Sources connected with the former couple tell TMZ … Mariah has been trying to get Nick to sign off for nearly a year, but he just won’t do it and won’t say why. The couple separated in August 2014 and Nick filed in December of that year.

HuffPo reports: “Mariah’d cut him loose right now. But she’s worried about him making a grab for a huge chunk of her $515 million fortune,” one source told America’s OK! magazine, with another insider noting her other half is also in misery.

“Nick feels burned that Mariah is ready to pull the plug. They have a pre-nup, but after Nick tells his side of the story Mariah will most likely settle with him financially and realize her once beautiful marriage has evaporated.”

Things purportedly went downhill after Nick released his controversial new album “White People Party Music” on April 1.

Nicki Minaj Exits American Idol

Nicki Minaj is not down for American Idol. In the least surprising news of the day, an insider tells Us Weekly that the singer will depart this Fox competition immediately following this week's finale.

"It's safe to say she isn't coming back to Idol," the source says, adding that Nicki will start focusing on her next album, touring, and endorsements. "She's okay with it. She had a great time but was only going to do one season anyway."

Randy Jackson has already resigned from Idol and producers are expected to replace the entire panel some time this summer. Among those reportedly being considered: Harry Connick Jr., Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez.
