The story of Pastor Mark and his unfortunate wife Perpetua Udoka dates back to February 2000. Udoka who commenced a bright career in banking in a small town called Ogbaku near Owerri in Imo State innocently confided in a brother in the church who incidentally was the leader of the prayer squad of their local church at a time.She solicited for the face of God concerning her proposals from three suitors who were seriously asking for her hand in marriage, a medical doctor, a fellow banker and a public servant.

A 42 year-old man, Mr. Samuel Omosaba was Tuesday evening arrested by the Police for beheading his three year-old niece, Adubarin Kola at Ilepa quarters in Ikare-Akoko, Akoko North East local government area of Ondo State.

Omosaba, who is jobless and still single was said to have contacted a herbalist in Ipe-Akoko for blood money.

It was gathered that the herbalist told him that the only way to make him rich was for him to look for a head of a baby.

Meanwhile, the deceased (Adubarin) was always put in custody of her grandmother at Ilepa quarters in Ikare anytime her mother, Bunmi, who is a trader was going to the market to sell her goods.

Muyideen Salaam Describes How He Killed, Drained Teenager’s Blood for Money Ritual

The vanguard newspaper is reporting that Muyideen Salaam, a 35 year-old apprentice at Aketegbo community in Seme, Badagry area of Lagos, gave this chilling confession of how he killed a 13 year-old boy, Rilwan Amuda, in his crave for materialism.

The Ibadan-born suspect claimed he was tempted to opt for money ritual after his wife left with their two children when feeding became an uphill task for him.

According to him: “ I was alone in the video shop club owned by my master when one of my friends named Nuru came and said he knew someone who could make us rich . He told me all that was needed was just the blood of a boy of about 15 years of age. 

He said all I needed to do was to get the person since he had already contacted a herbalist. In my desperation, I told him we would take Rilawan, mama elewa’s son since I had easy access to him because he usually ran errands for me and sometimes I gave him money and used closthes. We felt it was useless to go out and get someone else since Rilawan stayed in the same area with us. I made him understand that getting someone was not the problem but taking him to the herbalist’s shrine where he would be killed.

A Catholic priest, Franciscan Father Francois Murad has been killed in Syria, it has been confirmed by the official Vatican news agency. Francois Murad is said to have died after fighters linked to the jihadist group Jabhat al-Nusra attacked the monastery he was staying at, local sources say.

Catholic Online links to amateur footage purporting to show the 49-year-old's horrific death and reports: "The Vatican is confirming the death by beheading of Franciscan Father, Francois Murad, who was martyred by Syrian jihadists on June 23."

Two Men Arrested In Lagos For Buying Blood From Students For N1,500

The police at Elere Station has arrested two patent medicine sellers accused of buying blood from students in Agege area of Lagos State, southwest Nigeria. The suspects, Olusola Opeyemi, 23 and Adeagbo Olatunji, 35, were accused of collecting blood from students of Oyewole High School, Agege.

The blood donors were paid between N1,000 and N1,500 each. Investigations revealed that the blood collected from the students was sold to a middleman, Adetola Kayode, 48, for N7,000 per pint. Kayode, it was learnt, sold the blood to two men who claimed to be doctors at N11, 000 per pint. Police identified the ‘doctors’ who have been arrested as Otokiti Ajibola, 53 and Ladunni Steven, 52.
