‘I Was Totally Devastated but God Kept Me’ – Kate Henshaw Writes A Year After Her House Fire

Exactly one year ago, fire engulfed the residence of Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw.

It’s been one year, and Kate remembers the ugly incident as she shared a never-seen-before photo from the scene with the caption;

‘I will exalt you Lord, thou has lifted me, above my enemies, your banner over me is love. This picture was never released. One of many I kept.

‘This was the room I slept in, wall to wall was filled but it was wiped out by fire so that the roof even melted away and there you see the sky. My driver, stood there speechless at the site! I was totally devastated but God kept me!

Cossy Dumps Lagos, Relocates to Abuja

Cossy Or­jiakor has abandoned her Lekki, Lagos home and relocated to Abuja, the nation’s seat of power. And that’s not all, she has just pur­chased a brand new pink-co­loured Porsche coupe.

In a chat with Entertainer (Sun)on Watsapp, Orjiakor stated her rea­sons for dumping her Lekki home for Abuja: 

“I just got an Abuja apartment. I guess I needed a change of environment.

The Gidi Culture Festival: Post Christmas Clean Up Continues At Elegushi Beach

The Gidi Culture Festival team and volunteers participated in the first ever ‘Beach Sweep’ by clearing out litter and debris at Elegushi beach in Lagos. The event took place on the last Saturday of the month, highlighting the importance of the environmental sanitation.

The beach sweep is part of the ‘Rep your community’ drive by Gidi Culture festival to encourage youth participation in local communities and community projects. The Beach sweep encourages visitors to keep the beach and communities clean during the Christmas and festive periods. Gidi Culture is engaging its network to help support the beach and its local residents.

Nigerian Comedian Julius Agwu Takes Comedy To Church

Multiple awards winning comedian, Julius Agwu, stages his annual comedy show, Laff 4 Christ Sake, today, Sunday July 28th, 2013.

For the first time, the event will be holding in the church. The annual event, which attracts celebs and fans of the music comedian, holds at The Dome of This Present House, Lekki in Lagos. The church is led by Tony Rapu and incidentally, Julius Agwu is one of its members.

An array of comedians slated to perform at the show are Senator, Funnybone, Akpororo, Owen Gee, Mc Abbey, Acapella, Mc Longs and Mc Jay. Musicians on the bill are Tim Godfrey and the Extreme Crew, Frank Edwards and Tosin Martins.

According to the comedian, his pastor urged him to hold the event at the church, which is his place of worship. His pastor, Tony Rapu, was part of the event last year and this spurred him to host the comedy show at The Dome.

“It’s open to everyone to come and experience God in an atmosphere of laughter,” Julius says.   The London edition of Crack Ya Ribs show is set to hold in a couple of weeks.
