Tijani Usman (26) may have been regretting
while he decided to get married as his wedding ceremony at Niabawa Quarters,
Kano, Northwest Nigeria turned sorrowful when six of his friends in the spirit
of jubilation drugged themselves to death.
Tijani who wedded Hafsat Ibrahim aged 18 is
now a sad man in Police custody as he is being questioned over the death of his
friends who took to taking dangerous drugs while others were eating and
drinking during the reception.
According a source who spoke to P.M.NEWS
Correspondent on phone, the dead were aged between 19 and 25, “it was, indeed,
a tragic incident. While other people were enjoying themselves with food and
soft drinks during the reception; little did we know that the six young men who
were close friends to Tijani locked themselves in a room and were busy sniffing
themselves to death.
The six young men popped in wild jubilation
over their friends wedding as they took over-dose of illicit drugs in the
spirit of celebration and eventually died in the process.
