Le Guen’s Rejection: Resign Now, Abba Yola Tells NFF Technical Committee

The volte face by the Technical Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation over the hiring of Frenchman, Paul Le Guen as Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles has been described as a huge embarrassment to the entire country which calls for the resignation of the members of the committee.

A former director with the defunct National Sports Commission and Ciroman Yola, Mallam Abba Yola, who was furious yesterday over the handling of the coaching issue, wondered why the NFF would go ahead to announce the appointment of Le Guen as technical adviser when they had not concluded on terms with him.

“If Barrister (Chris) Green doesn’t know the implications of going public on a half done job, how could Paul Bassey come short of short-changing Nigerians on an issue which the entire Nation is interested in. Why the hurry in making the announcement,” he queried.

Video: Ex-Chelsea Midfielder Ramires Tries To Attack Referee in China

FOOTBALL fans will remember Ramires as the quiet, hard-working utility man who played an instrumental role in Chelsea’s most recent successes.

But following a big-money move to Chinese club Jiangsu Suning FC last summer, the Brazilian international looks to have found his steelier side.
With his side needing three points against Shandong Luneng to close the 10-point gap at the top of the table on leaders Guangzhou Evergrande, Jiangsu took the lead in the eighth minute thanks to a tidy finish from former Man City striker Jô.
However, their joy was short-lived as a second half brace from Argentinean midfielder Walter Montillo proved enough to steal the game for Shandong.
