Drone Photo Images of South Africa Reveal The Extreme Separation Between Rich and Poor

The landscape of South Africa clearly displays the lasting legacy of the apartheid, which drastically divided people by race and wealth.

In a series entitled 'Unequal Scenes' Seattle-born photographer, Johnny Miller captured South Africa using a drone's eye view.

While studying in Cape Town the photographer experimented with capturing racism and segregation, which led him to reconsider the urban experience from above. Amongst his collection there are images of Kya Sands in Johannesburg and Papwa Sewgolum Golf Course and Umgeni River in Durban.

Miller writes on his website: 'Discrepancies in how people live are sometimes hard to see from the ground.The beauty of being able to fly is to see things from a new perspective – to see things as they really are.

Wayne Rooney Named Britain's Richest Young Sports Star & Worth £82m

Wayne Rooney tops the 2016 Sunday Times Rich List for young sportsmen in Britain which is published this weekend.
The 30-year-old England and Manchester United captain has amassed an £82million fortune which makes him the richest sportsman aged 30 or under, a rise of £10m from last year.
Rooney's wealth comes from a reported £300,000-a-week contract at United, which makes him the highest-paid player in the Barclays Premier League, as well as endorsements with global brands Nike and Samsung.


Tennis brothers Andy and Jamie Murray are in second place with a joint worth of £58m, though £57m of it is contributed by world No 2 Andy.
Rory McIlroy has enjoyed the biggest increase in wealth, earning an extra £18m to take him up to £56m in total and to third place in the list.

Nollywood Life: Rich Industry, Poor Actors and Actresses

The luxury is complete. Fast cars, big houses, fat bank accounts and pretty girls…at least in the movies. But the real lives of many Nollywood actors and actresses do not reflect what they portray on screen. The Nation's Seun Akioye examines the real lives of the movie stars.

Whoever has seen Kayode Odumosu, known widely by his stage name Pa Kasumu in any of his numerous films, would believe the veteran actor epitomises the perfect life. Sometimes, he was the rich and influential father and at another time, he rose from grass to grace. But most of the time, he was the voice of reason, intelligent, a disciplinarian and an honest fellow. Many envied him and thought that Pa Kasumu, now 60 years old, must be very rich.
