Justin Bieber’s Plane Held On Pot Suspicion - Via NY Post reports: Justin Bieber’s personal plane — headed to New Jersey for the Super Bowl — was held at Teterboro Airport on Friday afternoon under suspicion it was carrying marijuana, law enforcement sources said.

 

The plane had just arrived at 2:53 p.m. from Toronto when authorities detected what was described as a strong odor of pot. The plane, believed to be a twin-jet Raytheon Hawker 800, was ordered held until drug-sniffing dogs could check it out.

Justin Bieber Tested Positive For Marijuana And Xanax

Justin Bieber tested positive for marijuana and the anti-anxiety drug Xanax after his arrest in South Florida, a preliminary toxicology report has revealed. The report released on Thursday did not show any other illicit drugs in the pop star's system.

The 19-year-old singer was arrested last week in Miami Beach on charges of driving under the influence, resisting arrest and having an expired driver's licence. Police said Bieber admitted to smoking marijuana, drinking and taking a prescription medication.

A police report said initial breath tests placed Bieber's blood-alcohol content below the .02 level considered intoxicated for under-21 drivers.

The teen idol's lawyers have filed a written not guilty plea ahead of a Valentine's Day court date.
His February 14 hearing will be followed up less than a month later by a separate legal proceeding in Canada, where Bieber faces an assault charge.

Amanda Knox Guilty Again Over Kercher Murder

Amanda Knox and her ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito have again been found guilty of murdering British student Meredith Kercher after an Italian court ruled the pair should not have been cleared. Knox, who was in her hometown of Seattle when she learned her conviction had been reinstated, has been sentenced to 28 years and six months.

 

The 26-year-old said she was "frightened and saddened" by the ruling.
Sollecito, 29, who was not in court but had attended lengthy hearings, was sentenced to 25 years. Their lawyers have said they intend to appeal to Italy's highest court and a long legal battle for Knox's extradition is now expected.
Miss Kercher's sister Stephanie and brother Lyle were both at the Nuovo Palazzo di Giustizia courthouse in Florence to hear the outcome of the third trial in the case.

The Kokomaster is currently in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to help ONE officially inaugurate the campaign during the African Union Summit.  He has unveiled the official name and logo of the campaign and helped launch ONE’s online petition, calling on leaders to invest more and better in agriculture. In February, the pop-star will lead top artistes from around the continent to record a song and music video, aimed at promoting agriculture among youths.

Derek Medina, 31, Who Killed Wife & Put Photo of Her Body on Facebook

The Florida husband accused of shooting dead his wife and then posting a photo of her dead body on Facebook has asked the judge to have the victim’s remains tested for bath salts and other illegal substances. Derek Medina's attorney Saam Zanganeh filed documents Tuesday requesting access to Jennifer Alfonso’s body.
Medina, 31, is scheduled to go on trial March 17 after being charged last month with first-degree murder in connection to the August 2013 slaying of 26-year-old Alfonso in their South Miami home.

The accused killer had previously admitted to shooting his wife six to eight times, but has since changed his story, insisting that he was acting in self-defense because Alfonso was acting erratically and violently.

Justin Bieber Charged With Limo Driver Assault

Justin Bieber has been arrested and charged in connection to an alleged assault on a limousine driver in Toronto in December. The Toronto Police Service confirmed the 19-year-old singer had handed himself in to officers at 52 Division police station on Wednesday evening.

 

It is alleged that the victim picked up a group of six people outside a nightclub in the city on December 30, but while driving the group to a hotel an altercation occurred between one of the passengers and the driver. During the course of the altercation the driver was hit on the back of the head several times, before stopping the vehicle and calling the police.

Skydiver Falls 3,000ft And Survives

A 16-year-old girl from Texas has survived a fall of more than 3,000ft in a skydiving accident in Oklahoma. Makenzie Wethington is in good condition, despite multiple injuries, including to her liver, pelvis lumbar spine in her lower back, shoulder blade and several ribs, trauma surgeon Jeffrey Bender said.

"I don't know the particulars of the accident, as I wasn't there. But if she truly fell 3,000 feet, I have no idea how she survived," the surgeon from Oklahoma said. Makenzie is expected to leave the intensive care unit soon, he said.

The teenager's parents had allowed her to take the jump but father Joe has now said the skydiving company should not have allowed it. The company involved has defended its decision, saying the father went up with his daughter and was the first to jump.

Robert Swainson, instructor and owner of the company involved, said Makenzie's parachute had opened as it should have done but she began to spiral downward when the chute went up but not out.

Grammys 2014: Winners List

French dance duo Daft Punk have taken top honours at the Grammy Awards, winning five prizes including album and record of the year. Hip-hop duo Macklemore and Lewis picked up four awards - best new artist plus best rap album, song and performance. Justin Timberlake won three, while New Zealand teenager Lorde had two including song of the year for Royals. Sir Paul McCartney was among the other double winners and also reunited with his Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr. The ceremony is known for its heavyweight on-stage collaborations and this year's show was opened by Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce. 

Madonna joined Macklemore and Lewis to perform their anti-homophobia anthem Same Love as more than 30 couples took part in a mass wedding. Other highlights included Daft Punk, Nile Rodgers and Pharrell Williams being joined by Stevie Wonder to perform their hit Get Lucky.Take a look at some of the top winners below:

HuffPo reports: That a Nigerian woman is making some eyebrow-raising headlines after reportedly disowning her cat for “an unnatural sexual behavior” — allegedly, same-sex attraction.

As the Nigerian newspaper Leadership notes, the woman (identified simply as being middle-aged) rid herself of Bull, whom she owned for seven years, after the cat was deemed to “be in the habit of making sexual advances” only to other male cats in the household.

“By this, the cat has made a record as the first cat to be so publicly declared gay and disowned by its owner,” writer Donatus Nadi notes in the article. As for the cat’s disgruntled owner, she would only add, “Anybody interested in this gay cat can have it because I have no further use of it.”

French President Francois Hollande Splits From First Lady

French President Francois Hollande has announced he is leaving First Lady Valerie Trierweiler following allegations he had an affair with an actress.

Mr Hollande, 59, the most unpopular French leader in modern history, announced the news in a phone call to Agence France Presse (AFP) news agency on Saturday evening.

Saying he was speaking as a private individual, Mr Hollande was quoted as saying: "I wish to make it known that I have ended my partnership with Valerie Trierweiler."

Earlier, officials in France denied reports that the couple were separating.

A spokesman for the Elysee Palace, the president's official residence, told Sky News the "rumour" was "not true" and said it was not preparing to issue a statement.

Patrice de Beer, former editor of French newspaper Le Monde, told Sky News he believes Mr Hollande announced the news to try to draw a line under the scandal..... Continues....

Not like how many, like how much. I have maybe $200,000 in wristwatches. What I am wearing now is a Rolex Daytona, I got it from Polo for Christmas. It cost about $30,000. Polo is Nigeria’s only authorised dealer, so I bought it from the company and I love it. I love pens too. Sometimes I could just be like a woman. I love things that shine but not all the time. I like cufflinks, pens but I am not the necklace or a bracelet kind of guy. Justin Bieber Pulls A Michael Jackson

Justin Bieber is suffering from the same delusion that Michael Jackson once embraced -- putting on a false air of confidence when behind the scenes their lives are falling apart. You'll recall the scene with MJ back in 2004 ... after his arraignment on child molestation charges.  Michael famously jumped on his SUV and waived and smiled, trying to convince everyone things were ok.

Justin did the same thing Thursday as he left jail ... after being busted for DUI and resisting arrest. As much as both of them protested ... Michael and Justin had the same Achilles' heel -- drugs.  Michael was hooked on a pharmacy of prescription drugs, and Justin has an enormous problem with sizzurp.

It didn't end well for Michael.  It's not too late for Justin.
