First of all,i did not grant an interview to you guys. I wouldnt have,because the last time i did,you twisted my words as usual and gave it one of your stupid captions.
Because of that i stayed away from granting interviews for a very long time. I granted an interview to Samuel Olatunji.

Lai Mohammed Endorses Use Of Barcode In Nigeria Movie & Music to Fight Piracy

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has endorsed the use of barcode in Nigerian movies and music as a measure to protect intellectual properties from undue exploitation.

The Minister, who was responding to a request to that effect by the Caretaker Committee of the Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN) who paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Abuja on Friday, advised the Association to also liaise with the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON), the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) and other regulatory bodies to ensure the success of the new measure.

"You asked that we make a declaration making it illegal for NTA, FRCN and other radio and television stations from using any music or movie, which is not barcoded...I think what we should do is to work through the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON), NCC and other regulatory bodies," he said.

Nollywood actor OC Ukeje is one of the actors in the industry who brings life to the roles he plays.

According to him, things could get out of control on set, In some of the movies, the actor has had to kiss some of his colleagues because it was part of the script.

Even though it’s all an act, OC confessed the scene actually affected him and, he became aroused while kissing the actress on the set.

OC said, “It has happened to me before that I was moved when acting a romantic scene but when it happened, I was involved with the actor in real life. I cannot speak for other films I am going to do later. You can find a girl super attractive and when you guys are kissing, blood starts flowing south ward.

Veteran Nollywood actress, Steph-Nora Okere, has denied reports of her getting married,stating categorically that, she is married to Jesus..In a chat with City People, she said,

 “No, I was never married. I am very single. The press got me married on papers

“A lot of people have been saying I was married, I was married but we didn’t really get through our marriage. I think that is like in the past, which is like 10 years ago. I really wish to forget about it.”

Refuting claims she was once married to Lanre Falana, the  actress said,

“I was never married but the press got me married as I said. I was involved in a marriage process with Falana which got truncated along the line.

''I Have Nine Years Before Reaching Menopause'' – Halima Abubakar

Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar, has lashed out at all the Nigerians, doubting Thomases who criticized her the last time she revealed she was looking forward to losing her ‘virginity’ and having kids.

She had been mocked that if she is not getting married, she should go and get kids because menopause is approaching. Halima is firing back saying:

What kind of thing is that? Is it your menopause?  I still have about nine years before I hit menopause all things being equal.

Those Who Condemned Kano Film Village Project Are Hypocrites – Fidelis Duker

The Nollywood industry was taken aback when it was reported earlier in the week that the Federal Government had cancelled the N3.7bn film village it had planned to build in Kano State.

It was reported that the clerics in the state had kicked against the project, saying it would promote immorality.

However, reacting to the move, popular filmmaker, Fidelis Duker, said it was unfortunate that such a laudable project had to be stopped because of such views.

“I was shocked when I heard the project had been cancelled. You need to look at the positive aspect of this film village. It would attract tourism; it would improve economy and create a viable industry for the region, not only to Kano.

Nollywood Actor Gets Badly Burned On Set In Fire Stunt Gone Wrong (Graphic Photos + Video)

A near death incident was averted on a Nollywood set recently when a promising actor, Ani Iyoho was badly burnt while playing a fire stunt on the set of movie director, Stanlee Ohikhuare.

An actor on set with Ani said while the actor was burning, the fire extinguisher on set did not work and Stanlee shocked everyone by continuing filming with the intention of adding the real fire incident to the film.

Ani, as we write has been hospitalised, with his colleagues running around to raise money for him.

Bukky Ajayi died aged 82, and she has been well mourned by the artistic community especially members of Nollywood who have described her as a role model, an iconic figure and a motherly figure to younger actors and actresses.

Many mourners have added that her death is shocking: every death in Nigeria is considered shocking ironically, even when the dead is as old as 100, or has been known to be terminally ill. In March 2016, when Bukky Ajayi received the Industry Merit Award at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Ceremony, she was already wheel-chair bound and terminally ill. But I guess we are always shocked by death, because we always expect our loved ones to live forever. And 82-year old Mama Ajayi was truly a lovable figure.

Nigerian Government Inaugurates Committee To Restructure N3bn Nollywood Grant

The Federal Government in a bid to reposition the entertainment industry has inaugurated a committee to review and restructure the N3bn project Nollywood grant.

The fund was set up to solve the main challenges impeding the growth of the Nigerian movie industry.

So far, the federal government through the project has implemented specialist training programmes in Nigeria and abroad in which 247 practitioners have been trained to improve their technical and professional capacities in the entertainment industry.

“Things are not working the way they ought to because producers are messing up. Some go as far as sleeping with young girls before giving them roles,” the veteran actress said.

Mercy Aigbe Gentry Arrested By Policemen In Osogbo

Star Yoruba movie actress, Mercy Aigbe-Gentry, Wednesday had a bruise with some armed policemen in Osogbo when the vehicle she was traveling with was impounded by them.

It was gathered that while a minor misunderstanding between the actress and the policemen that impounded her vehicle appeared settled, and her seized vehicle particulars released, some armed policemen suddenly appeared and rearrested the actress and her driver.

Eyewitnesses told our correspondent that the actress who was travelling in gold-colour Honda end-of-discussion, was flagged down while driving towards Olaiya Junction in Osogbo.
