Christian Ferdinand, 20, admitted to killing Shaniesha Forbes, officials said. He is charged with homicide by asphyxiation. Authorities arrested him in Maine.

Despite Ferdinand’s pregnancy claims, the city’s medical examiner noted Forbes wasn’t pregnant at the time of her death. His alleged words and the official findings set off Forbes’ cousin.

“You had the courage and the balls to kill her but you couldn’t go to the pharmacy to buy a pregnancy test to find out if it was true?” Kerri Ann Thomas said in Brooklyn Federal Court. “That makes no sense.”

Violence had rocked the Ago Iwoye campus of the Olabisi Onabanjo University on Monday. As early as 7.30 am, students had stormed the gates of the institution which they succeeded in locking. Only to reportedly have two students of the university shot dead with several others wounded following an ongoing protest about against some of the “anti-students policy” of the school’s management.

According to StreetJournal, some of the students revealed that one of the new policies stipulates that any student who does not pay school fees on time would not be allowed into the exam hall, which could mean an extra year for some.

Cops Arrest Assistant Superintendent of Police, 3 Others Over Kidnap Kingpin’s Escape

POLICE in Delta State have arrested and detained four police officers, including an Assistant Superintendent of Police, Sergeant and Corporal, for allegedly aiding the escape of a kidnap kingpin from police cell in Asaba.

Delta State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ikechukwu Aduba, confirmed the detention of the police officers when contacted. This came as the Joint Task Force, JTF, in Sapele, arrested four suspected kidnappers and razed the shrine of a native doctor, who prepared charm for the gang.

Investigations showed that soon after he escaped, the kidnap kingpin from the South-East region called the complainant in the case to inform him that he had paid his way out of police cell and he should get ready for him.

The Police recently unearthed a baby delivery syndicate and a key suspect arrested and paraded in Lagos, alongside two other women who were believed to have paid certain sums of money respectively, to be delivered of babies.

Forty three years old Joy Ibe who lives at Ajah area of Lagos, said she has been married for 18 years without any issues, a dilemma that prompted her to run up and down seeking for fruit of the womb, until she came in contact with a Port Harcourt based 50- year old woman identified as Oby George, who was noted for helping women deliver babies after paying an agreed amount of money to her.

Joy told news men how she met Oby, and what followed after that:  “one of my neighbours visited Nigeria and heard about Oby, after she travelled back to the Unites States, she text me Oby’s number and asked me to contact her if I am interested.

I called up Oby and told her my problems, she gave me her address to come and meet her in Port Harcourt. When I got to Port Harcourt and met with her, she gave me some herbs, which I took until, it was time for me to deliver.  I paid her N2, 700.000 for triplets.

The Principal of Baptist High School, Ekinrin/Adde, in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State Mr. Ajayi Ajibulu has been accused of impregnating one of his students and trying to abort the pregnancy. According to The NY Post; A gay man was gunned down in Greenwich Village early yesterday allegedly by a bigot who hurled homophobic slurs at him — a senseless attack that Police Commissioner Ray Kelly called “clearly a hate crime.”

Brooklyn resident Mark Carson and a pal were walking on Sixth Avenue near West Eighth Street at around midnight when the two were approached by Elliot Morales, 33, and two other Hispanic men, police said.

200-Year-Old Iroko Tree Kills 31 Persons, Leaves 16 Others Injured In Imo State

It was tears and anguish in Umudagu, Mbieri community in Mbaitoli council area of Imo state as no fewer than 31 persons have been confirmed dead following the fall of an ancestral ‘Uko’  tree estimated to have been over 200 years in existence.

Lagosians spend N1b Monthly On Merriment & Entertainment

According to a report, residents of Lagos State spend over a Naira on parties and entertainment every month. Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Ademorin Kuye, said this at the briefing of the ministry in Alausa, Ikeja; While responding to a question on the validity of Merriment Tax being collected by local governments in the state, said the figure was a product of a recent research conducted by the state’s Ministry of Economic Planning and Budgeting.
