Pregnant Teenager Drinks Poison, Blames Her Grandma in Suicide Note

A 17-year-old girl, Temitope Saka, has died after drinking insecticide, Sniper, in the Igando area of Lagos State.

PUNCH Metro gathered that the victim left behind a suicide note in which she allegedly blamed her grandma for her death.

Our correspondent gathered that Saka’s boyfriend reported the incident to the police at the Igando division, which led to the arrest of the woman.

It was learnt that the victim’s mother died when she was three years old.

There were wails and tears after a 19-year-old lady allegedly committed suicide at Alhaji Ede Avenue in Igando area of Lagos, following a quarrel with her lover. 

The dead lady, Uche Obiora, was said to have visited her boyfriend's home over the weekend. 

There were, however, different accounts as to how the tragedy struck. A version of the account said a quarrel ensued between them, over suspicion by Obiora that her boyfriend, Ernest Ihaza, was having an affair with another lady. 

Another version stated that during the visit, Ihaza announced his intention to discontinue with the relationship. During the verbal confrontation between them, Ihaza was said to have stormed out of his apartment.

Man Commits Suicide Because NO Female Wants To Marry Him

The lifeless body of a 40 year old man simply known as Femi was discovered by the residents of Alhaji Aboki Street in Abaranje area of Ikotun in an uncompleted building.

According to residents in the area, Femi was evicted from his one room home barely two months ago but that this was not the first time Femi who was also known as Fela had tried to kill himself.

He said Femi had attempted suicide twice before but failed. They said apart from the eviction, Femi was also frustrated that he was not yet married at 40 and didn't have his own home anymore.

 

A resident, who gave his name as Okeseun Olatunde, said:

“Femi was evicted by his landlord in February, after he was discharged from hospital, following a failed suicide attempt.

According to NY Daily News: An Indianapolis Metropolitan police officer broke into his estranged wife’s home Thursday evening and shot her dead before turning the gun on himself, police said.

“It’s a very difficult day in the city of Indianapolis,” Mayor Greg Ballard said at a 9:30 p.m. press conference. “We have lost two of our own. This one hurts deeply. This one hurts very deeply.”

Sgt. Ryan Anders forced his way into the back door of Officer Kim Carmack’s home on Inishmore Way on the city’s west side around 5:40 p.m., police Chief Rick Hite said.

Neighbors called police after hearing gunshots, and a responding SWAT team found the two dead inside.

Wu-Tang Clan-Affiliated Rapper Cuts Off His Penis Before Attempting Suicide By Jumping Off A Building

A rapper who performed with the Wu-Tang Clan cut off his own penis before attempting suicide by leaping from a building, police said.

Andre Johnson was rushed to hospital after he jumped from a second-floor balcony at a building in Hollywood. 

Mr Johnson was found on the sidewalk critically injured and was rushed to hospital. It is unclear if doctors are attempting to reattach his penis, TMZ reported.  

He is now recovering at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Eight-year-old Girl Commits Suicide in Enugu

An 8-year-old girl, Chiemerie Asadu, allegedly committed suicide on Monday at the Ofulonu, Nsukka area of Enugu State. And according to Punch, the little girl hanged herself to death in the bathroom and no one in her neighborhood could give  any reason behind the alleged suicide.
A relative of the deceased, Mr. David Ajibo, told PUNCH Metro that the victim was the daughter of his brother in-law, and was living with him.

“This girl has been staying with us since her father died. I am shocked. I don’t know what to say. Only God knows what happened. She was hale and hearty when I left the house in the morning and I wonder what will make a small girl of eight to commit suicide,” Mr. Ajibo said.

Relatives of the deceased, who spoke in hush tones, wondered why she took her life, considering her age. A resident, who pleaded anonymity, said the girl was full of life in the morning of the fateful day. She said:

You Can’t Be Serious: Michigan Man Popped After Accidentally Killing Woman In Failed Suicide Attempt! Via UpNorthLive: A 28-year-old woman was shot and killed in Traverse City Tuesday night.

The shooting happened around 10:30pm at an apartment on the corner of 3 Mile Road and Aero Park Drive.

Authorities said a 33-year-old male suspect also sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his hand.

Police said the suspect called 9-1-1 to report he had tried to commit suicide, but missed, shooting the victim. When authorities arrived, the man came outside with his gun, but went back in the house and tried to flee out the back.

Mother Of Twins Commits Suicide 4 Months After Giving Birth

A nursing mother has committed suicide, four months after giving birth to a set of twins, on Oremerin Street, Ladilak, Somolu, Lagos State.

The woman, Mrs. Muji Kazeem, a hairdresser, was found dead in a well on Tuesday morning. The well was located two houses to the apartment that Muji and her husband, Adewale, were staying.

Our correspondent, who visited the Kazeems, learnt that the twins came after five years of marriage.

Kazeem, 28, said his wife was found dead in the well two days after she was declared missing.

He said, “We were together on Sunday night having prayers around 9.30pm. Then, the babies started crying, so I told her to go and breast-feed them.

The wife of a suicidal man managed to prevent him from plummeting to his death by holding on to his leg for 20 minutes after he jumped out of the window of their sixth-floor apartment.
According to the Chinese news portal Sohu, the 45-year-old man had recently moved with his wife and child to the northeasten city of Changchun, where he began experiencing painful work-related stress headaches and “delusions.”

The symptoms allegedly motivated his decision to jump, but he was rescued at the last moment by his wife’s sharp instincts.

It took police some 20 minutes to arrive at the scene, during which time the woman was forced to hold on to her husband’s leg and shorts to keep him from falling.

He was eventually pulled in, just as his wife’s body was starting to give out.

Bollywood Actress Jiah Khan, Commits Suicide

Bollywood actress Jiah Khan, 25, was found dead at her Mumbai home last night. Her mother discovered her hanging body, according to police, who say they haven’t found a suicide note, the BBC reports. A hospital post-mortem is set to investigate the cause of Khan’s death, police say. The New York-born, London-raised actress’ death, stunned Bollywood colleagues.

One in particular had a lot to say: “Never ever seen a debutant actress with more spunk and more spirit than Jiah,” tweeted director Ram Gopal Varma.

But he didn’t stop there; more tweets:

“The last time I met her jiah told me that everyone around her makes her feel like a failure”
“Inspite of being highly appreciated in [the film] Nishabd [and] being a part of hugely successful Ghazni and Houseful she had no work for the last 3 years”
“I dont know the reason what led to this but jiah was very depressed about her career and scared for her future”

Man Jumps To His Death From Building And Lands On 7-Year-Old Girl’s Head Killing Her

Very sad news out of South Korea: A 39-year old man jumped to his death from the 11th floor of a building in the city of Busan. He landed on a five-year old girl who was walking with by with her parents on the street below and ended up killing her, as authorities confirm she died hours later from brain damage.

The identity of both the man and the toddler are being withheld, while no one knows the reason he committed suicide. There was no note left at the scene or anywhere else. South Korea, however, has highest per capita rate of suicide in the world.

Family of five commits suicide believing they will meet GOD!

A family of five in Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan consumed poison (cynamide laced laddoos) and died in the belief that they would meet their god.

The family head and photographer Kanchan Singh made a video of the entire incident and was even seen telling his family how he tried to meet Lord Shiva in heaven but failed.

The family members who died include Singh’s wife, three children and his engineer brother.
