Accidentally Killing Woman In Failed Suicide Attempt! Via UpNorthLive: A 28-year-old woman was shot and killed in
Traverse City Tuesday night.
The shooting happened around 10:30pm at an
apartment on the corner of 3 Mile Road and Aero Park Drive.
Authorities said a 33-year-old male suspect
also sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his hand.
Police said the suspect called 9-1-1 to report
he had tried to commit suicide, but missed, shooting the victim. When
authorities arrived, the man came outside with his gun, but went back in the
house and tried to flee out the back.
Another shot was fired. Police were then able
to apprehend the man.
He was taken to Munson Medical Center where he
is undergoing surgery. Police said they will question the suspect after he is
treated.
This is one of the strangest things we’ve ever
heard. R.I.P. to the woman who lost her life sadly and unnecessarily.
