Oscar Pistorius Rekindled Romance With His Ex-Lover...?

One of Oscar Pistorius’ former girlfriends has appeared to support him in court for the first time this week, prompting speculation that the depressed sprinter is drawing comfort from their past romance during his final days of freedom.

Jenna Edkins, for whom the convicted murderer has confessed to having a lingering affection, looked entirely at home among the ranks of Pistorius’ extensive family as she took her place next to his sister, Aimee, on the hard, wooden benches of Pretoria’s High Court.

The 26-year-old bank worker has maintained a deliberately low profile since her name was first linked to Pistorius, 29, at the height of his celebrity following his historic appearance at both the Olympics and Paralympics in London in 2012. 

With a comforting hand outstretched to Aimee, who recently left South Africa to begin a new life in London, Jenna regularly looked with concern at the back of the double amputee’s bowed head as he sobbed quietly in the dock when the crucial hearing to decide his punishment yesterday got underway.

Oscar Pistorius Breaks His Silence On Twitter

Oscar Pistorius has broken his silence on social media by posting a string of religious messages.

The Paralympian took to Twitter on Sunday afternoon, five days after the last evidence was heard in his murder trial.

He posted a collage of himself posing with children, along with the message: "You have the ability to make a difference in someones (sic) life."

The 27-year-old also uploaded a passage about how a man in "utter desolation" can still "achieve fulfillment" through "loving contemplation of the image he carries of his beloved".

The last time he tweeted before that was on February 14 this year, the first anniversary of the day he killed girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

Oscar Pistorius Accused Of 'Tailoring Evidence'

Oscar Pistorius has been accused of "tailoring his evidence" at his murder trial, where he denies murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

Prosecutor Gerrie Nel repeatedly challenged the Paralympian's account of events while questioning him about whether the alarm in his home was activated on the night he shot Ms Steenkamp.

The confrontation led Pistorius to admit he could be giving inconsistent answers because he was tired - prompting the judge to ask if he was able to continue with his evidence.

Mr Nel also claimed the athlete was lying about an incident when he claims he was shot at while driving on a highway in 2008 or 2009, because he could not remember who he had called for help that night.

Oscar Pistorius: 'If Reeva Had Spoken I Would Not Have Fired'

Oscar Pistorius has told a court he fired his weapon "by accident" after hearing a noise in his bathroom and thinking he was about to be attacked by an intruder.

The court in Pretoria heard the athlete say he fired four shots in quick succession after hearing someone inside the bathroom.

Fighting back tears, the 27-year-old said: "When I heard a noise, I didn't have time to think and I fired my weapon. It was an accident.

"If Reeva had come out or she had spoken to me I wouldn't have fired. The noise coming from the bathroom made me pull the trigger."

During a second day of cross-examination, prosecutor Gerrie Nel claimed Pistorius' version of events on the night of February 13 last year "is a lie" and the barrister accused him of "adapting" events to suit his account.

In dramatic scenes, Pistorius described finding his girlfriend's body in the toilet of his home - wailing in court: "She was everything."

Oscar Pistorius broke down and wept during the fourth day of his murder trial in South Africa‘s Pretoria Magistrate’s Court Thursday, as a neighbor delved into the gory details of his late girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp‘s death, and we’ve got all the info for you right here on RadarOnline.com.

Pistorius trembled and, at times, covered his ears as Dr. Johan Stipp recalled the blow-by-blow events in the moments after the double-amputee Olympic runner shot Steenkamp Feb. 14, 2013.

Stipp, a radiologist, said he heard the shots fired and approached the home, where “at the bottom of the stairs … there was a lady lying on her back on the floor.”

Stipp said Pistorius told him, “I shot her … I thought she was a burglar … I shot her.”

Pistorius Trial: Reeva 'Couldn't Have Screamed'

On an emotional day in court, Pistorius' lawyer says the shot to his girlfriend's head would have caused significant brain damage. 

Neighbour Michelle Burger, who says she heard Ms Steenkamp being killed by Pistorius, was grilled by the athlete's defence team on the second day of the trial.

She told the packed courtroom in South Africa's administrative capital Pretoria she heard a woman screaming after shots were fired in Pistorius' residence.

Oscar Pistorius Can Leave South Africa To Compete

Paralympian Oscar Pistorius, who is charged with murdering his girlfriend, has won an appeal over his bail restrictions, permitting him to leave South Africa to compete in international competition, with conditions.

His lawyers told the North Guateng High Court that while the Olympic and Paralympic athlete had no immediate plans to compete, he might in time need to run at track meets again to continue earning a living.

Judge Bert Bam agreed to ease Pistorius' bail restrictions, but said he must provide authorities with his travel plans at least a week before he leaves the country.

He must also return his passport to the court within 24 hours of returning to South Africa.

Pistorius, who will be placed on trial for shooting his model girlfriend at his home last month, was freed on bail February 22. His trial will commence in June.

Lawyers for Oscar Pistorius have filed an appeal in a South African court against bail restrictions imposed on the Olympian, who is charged with murdering his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.

Pistorius has been staying at his uncle Arnold's home in a Pretoria suburb since he was released on bail on February 22.

In the papers, lawyers for the double-amputee athlete argued against the requirement that he surrender all passports and travel documents, and refrain from applying for such documents pending the end of his case.

"The conditions appealed against are unwarranted and not substantiated by the facts," said the appeal, which was filed on Friday in Pretoria, a copy of which was emailed to the AP news agency.

The South African athlete has been staying at his uncle Arnold's house since he was released on bail last Friday after being charged with the model's murder.

His aides confirmed plans for a memorial service for the 29-year-old, who was shot dead while staying at Pistorius' luxury home, after details were leaked to the media.

The Paralympian, 26, who also competed in the Olympics last summer, denies murder and claims he shot Miss Steenkamp by mistake believing she was an intruder.

It will be the Paralympian's first public appearance since he was granted bail on Friday.

He denies the premeditated murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp at his Pretoria home on Valentine's Day.

Pistorius claims he killed the 29-year-old model accidentally, mistaking her for an intruder.

The athlete must sign in at Brooklyn police station - where he had been held for over a week during his bail hearing - twice a week as part of his bail conditions.

Substance found in star athlete Oscar Pistorius’s home during a search by police investigating the killing of his girlfriend is a herbal sexual stimulant; a South African newspaper reported Sunday.

The prosecution said during Pistorius’s bail hearing last week that police had found two boxes of “testosterone” and needles in his Pretoria home, but the defence countered that it was a legal herbal remedy known as testocompasutium coenzyme.

The City Press newspaper said Sunday the remedy was a combination of vitamins, herbal cures partly derived from animal organs.

Oscar Pistorius says he just wants to "be alone" since his release on bail and is feeling "a lot of remorse" over the death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

The Olympic athlete is staying at his uncle's home in Pretoria after a court banned him from returning to the luxury home where he shot his girlfriend through a bathroom door.

His spokeswoman: "He told me, 'I just want this time to be alone'. He is in his room, he's spending time alone and he's feeling lot of remorse."

The athlete's family has also released a new statement, saying: "Oscar will never be the same ... having to live with the knowledge that he caused the death of the woman he loved, and that he can never undo the immense pain and loss this has caused Reeva’s family and friends".

Oscar Pistorius Detective on Attempted Murder Charges

The South African detective leading the Oscar Pistorius inquiry is facing seven charges of attempted murder, police have confirmed.

Detective Hilton Botha, who has faced fierce questioning at Mr Pistorius's bail hearing, was allegedly involved in a shooting two years ago.

The hearing came as the victim's family held a funeral for her.

A bloodied cricket bat has been found at the home of Blade Runner, local sources say.

Police are working on theories that the bat could have been used by Oscar Pistorius to attack Reeva Steenkamp before shooting her dead, to break down the door of the bathroom where she was hiding, or even by the late model to defend herself, reported City Press in South Africa. 

Meanwhile his best friend has told how he received a phone call moments after Reeva Steenkamp had been shot dead and a distraught Pistorius later crying ‘My baba, I’ve killed my baba. God take me away.’

Before the Paralympic medallist called the emergency services he phoned Justin Divaris, 27, at 3.55am to tell him what had happened.

‘I said to him, “What are you talking about?” He then repeated himself – “There has been a terrible accident, I shot Reeva”,’ he told the Sunday People.
