Rapists Strangle UTME Candidate, Dump Her Corpse Inside Bush'

Parents of 20-year-old Joan Egemba, have been thrown into mourning after their daughter was stabbed and strangled by some suspected rapists in the Ijebu Igbo area of Ogun State.

Joan, who bagged a National Diploma in Accountancy from the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State, enrolled for the 2016 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the deceased left her home in the Odo Eran, Sango-Ota area around 12pm on Thursday, March 3, for the National Open University of Nigeria centre in Awa Ijebu, where she was posted to sit for the exam the following day.

It was learnt that on Thursday evening, she was abducted at the Ijebu Oru Junction – a few distance away from the centre – by persons suspected to be rapists.

Her corpse was said to be found in a bush at the back of a secondary school in Ijebu Igbo with cuts in her thighs.

Sad Story of 22 Year Old Graduate Butchered to Death By Her Fiance

The gruesome murder of 22-year-old Precious Naza Onyenanu, who graduated last year from Imo State University with a degree in Edu­cation (Economics), has given her traumatized father, Mr. Innocent Eze Onyenanu and other relations the greatest shock of their lives.

He still shudders every time the thought flashes in his mind and his tears have also not ceased to flow. Precious, a native of Isu, in Isu Local Government Area of Imo State was allegedly butchered by Ephraim Isom, 27, a graduate of Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RUST), who hails from Andoni Lo­cal Government Area in Rivers State. 

The heinous murder took place in a hotel in the Rukpokwu area of Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital. Precious met Ephraim in 2012, when he was posted to Imo State for the national youth service and they fell in love.

Evangelist Ebenezer Obey Is Now A Lecturer At Olabisi Onabanjo University

Legendary Juju artiste turn evangelist, Ebenazer Obey, has been conferred with a Professor of music at Olabisi Onabanjo University.

The conferment held at the Otunba Gbenga Daniel Hall, main campus of the university, will see the new Professor of Music as a visiting artiste in the department of English and performing arts.

Ebenezer Obey by the honour, is expected to lecture students on music.

Redeemers University Student Kills Father at Redemption Camp

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 21-year-old undergraduate, Tolani Ajayi, of Redeemers University along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, for allegedly killing his father, Mr. Charles Ajayi, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.

The incident, according to the police, occurred on Tuesday, July 3, at their residence on Canaanland Street within the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s Redemption Camp.

Tolani was said to have slaughtered his father with a knife and later butchered him with a cutlass.
It's learnt that Tolani afterwards allegedly packed his father’s remains in a box and dragged them into the bush within the camp.

Covenant University Student, Bisi, Allegedly Expelled after her Nude Twerk Video goes Viral

This is so so unfortunate. A 100 level Covenant University female student, name Bisi, is currently in a mess after one of her friends leaked a video of her twerking while nude on Twitter. Bisi's story has been trending since last night the video was leaked, the poor girl has deleted her Twitter account and according to tweets from her schoolmates, the school's disciplinary committee are currently on her case while some are saying she has already been expelled.

Exclusive Photos: Bowen University Students' Riot Gets School Closed

The management of Bowen University this morning closed the school indefinitely following students' protest last night.. All male and female hostels has been destroyed. The Hall assistants, Hall administrators, Securities and Staffs fled and cars were damaged. Also, the Shopping complex was invaded and faculties and departments were destroyed. This was caused due to lack of water, light, introduction of food timetable and imposition of plastics. Some students spoke to us.


A 300 level Student said “During the tenure of the former Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olagbemiro there was always light between 6am-10am, 1pm-3pm and 6pm-11:30pm but everything changed wen he came in; there is now light from 6:30am-8am and 7:45pm-11:00pm, compare and contrast bro”... Kenyan University Student Claims She Infected 324 Men With HIV Knowingly

The Epoch Times: is reporting that a female student allegedly sent the Kenya Scandals Facebook page a message in which she said, “I see you people exposing scandals a also have a big one to tell just dont expose my name.”

The student said that she’s 19 and said that she was a virgin until she went clubbing with some seniors at the university. When she woke up, she realized that she had had sex when she was drunk.

Several months later, in November 2013, she tested HIV-positive. When she confronted the man, he claimed that it did not come from him.

Nigeria Police Arrest Fake LUTH doctor

According to a report by Vanguard the Lagos State Police Command on Thursday October 18th paraded a 40-year-old man, Adeyemi Stephen Akintolure (pictured above), a suspected fake medical doctor, who claimed to be a staff of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, with card No. 13541, identifying him as a surgeon and gynaecologist.

He said he is from Ondo State, studied Marketing at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, as a part-time student and graduated in 1997.
The fake medical doctor was said to have fraudulently obtained N500,000 from one Joy Umosekhaimhe of 2, Adesanya Close, Ifeko-Gbagada.
Akintolure, who said he uses the wife’s car as a mobile clinic, said the money in question was borrowed from Umosekhaimhe, adding “actually, it was not N500,000. It was N260,000 she lent me to use for my brother’s ailment.”

Rapper Wale Awards Hampton University Student $25,000 Scholarship


Wale is doing some good in the not-so-hood of Hampton University. The MMG rapper recently awarded a deserving Hampton University sophomore with a $25,000 scholarship during a debut concert and party for his new album “The Gifted,” which hit stores last month.
The moment of a lifetime arrived after Hampton University sophomore psychology major and Gloucester resident Lauren Pryor, won a $25,000 scholarship from rapper Wale. In a challenge presented on June 18 from Norfolk hip-hop station 103 JAMZ, Pryor was the 25th caller and the winner.

[Graphic Photo] 2 Feared Dead As Fresh Crisis Rocks Olabisi Onabanjo University


Violence had rocked the Ago Iwoye campus of the Olabisi Onabanjo University on Monday. As early as 7.30 am, students had stormed the gates of the institution which they succeeded in locking. Only to reportedly have two students of the university shot dead with several others wounded following an ongoing protest about against some of the “anti-students policy” of the school’s management.

According to StreetJournal, some of the students revealed that one of the new policies stipulates that any student who does not pay school fees on time would not be allowed into the exam hall, which could mean an extra year for some.
