Pianist 'Strangled And Beaten To Death By Her Husband On Wedding Anniversary'

A concert pianist was strangled and beaten to death by her husband after he became jealous of her musical success, a court heard today.

Double bass player John Martin is accused of murdering Natalia Strelchenko on the couple's second wedding anniversary following a string of furious arguments.

Rob Hall, prosecuting, said:

 'This is quite simply a case of anger. Pure and simple anger. This defendant was not getting what he wanted and reached a point where he lost his temper in a very dramatic fashion.'

An aspiring model took a public stance against an abusive boyfriend by posting pictures online of her horrific injuries after the man allegedly pushed her out of a moving car and beat her on a Las Vegas street.

Mori Gabriella Montgomery, 19, has been updating nearly 10,000 followers on her social media accounts with her progress since the brutal attack last month that nearly left her dead.

But she said the pictures of her bloodied body were not meant to show her as a victim, but a survivor. And she wants her story to expose the seriousness of domestic violence.

Man Beats Girl-Friend to Death

The police in Anambra on Tuesday confirmed the arrest of a 27-year-old man suspected to have beaten his girl-friend to death in Onitsha.

The commands Public Relations Officer, Mr Emeka Chukwuemeka, said that the suspect was arrested while attempting to run away after the incident.

“A full scale investigation has commenced on the matter to unravel what really happened,’’ Chukwuemeka said.

A resident of No. 46 Old Market Road, where the incident happened, on condition of anonymity said that the suspect was in the habit of beating his girl friend even though the girl refused to let go of the relationship.

These men were brutally beaten to death for being gay. What is disturbing is the fact that, attending police officers declining to intervene as the two men are mercilessly set about by a mob each taking turns beating the two men with planks of wood. The sight of an ambulance in the background can be seen. At no point during the beating are the men offered assistance or recourse to ambulance workers.
