A MAN who killed, cooked and salted his own parents before packing them into lunchboxes has been found guilty of double murder.
Henry Chau, 31, dismembered his father Chau Wing-ki, 65, and mother Siu Yuet-yee, 62, in a gruesome attack before packing their body parts “like barbecued pork” into his fridge.
A court heard how the killer from Hong Kong stored the boxes next to his parents' severed heads days after they were reported missing.
Police found other body parts in Chau's bin as the self-confessed "psychopath" planned to scatter their body parts around in a sick plot.
Chau described to the court as a reserved man who grew-up in a well-off family.
He was said to have been given the best education and excelled at playing piano.
He failed to complete his actuarial mathematics at an Australian university and began to hate his parents for his failings, the court heard.
Friends of Chau told the court how he talked of Nazi-related topics and changed his MSN icon to Adolf Hitler, the South China Morning Post reported.
His brother claimed that he seemed to live in his own world and loved to manipulate people.
A jury at the city’s high court found Chau guilty on both counts of murder of his parents.
His friend Tse Chun-kei was found not guilty on two counts of murder.
In evidence read during his 20-day trial last year, Chau claimed that he planned to mislead the police with his "murdering partner" Tse.
“My murdering partner and I were planning to make it a missing person case and dump the body piece by piece,” he said in a group message.
Further evidence showed a message sent from Chau, stating: “I cannot empathise with people’s pain because of my experience from childhood and adolescence.”
Chau is due to be sentenced on Monday.
