Trump vs. Pope: THE POPE IS 'DISGRACEFUL' - DONALD IS NOT A CHRISTIAN

Donald Trump just went full bore on the Pope, saying the pontiff was "disgraceful" for questioning his faith.
Trump was reacting to the Pope's comment, "A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian." It seems to be a thinly veiled attack against Trump, who wants a wall between the U.S. and Mexico.
Trump went off ... "For a religious leader to question a person's faith is disgraceful. I am proud to be a Christian."
Trump believes the Mexican leaders with whom the Pope just met have poisoned him with one-sided views on immigration, adding, "They are using the Pope as a pawn."

Pope Francis Admits ‘Gay Lobby’ Exists At The Vatican

Pope Francis said a “gay lobby” exists inside the Vatican, a surprising disclosure from a pope who has already delivered his share of stunners, and a resurrection of church conflicts that had bedeviled his predecessor’s papacy. “In the Curia,” Francis said, referring to Catholicism’s central bureaucracy, “there are holy people. But there is also a stream of corruption.”
“The ‘gay lobby’ is mentioned, and it is true, it is there,” Francis continued. “We need to see what we can do.” Hints that the Holy See contained a network of gay clergy surfaced last year in reports about a series of embarrassing leaks to Italian journalists.
The “Vatileaks” scandal factored in Pope Emeritus Benedict XIV’s shocking decision to resign earlier this year, according to some church experts, as it impressed upon the 86-year-old pontiff that the modern papacy requires a vigorous and watchful presence.

Pope Francis Inauguration Mass held at the Vatican

The inauguration Mass for Pope Francis has been held in St Peter's Square in Rome, marking the start of his papacy.
Francis earlier toured the square in an open-topped vehicle, descending to bless pilgrims behind the barriers.
His homily called on global leaders and all people of the world to protect the weak and the poor. Tens of thousands of pilgrims attended the Mass.
Francis was elected by a conclave of cardinals last week to take over from Benedict XVI.
Benedict became the first pontiff in 600 years to abdicate last month. Citing his age, 85, he said he could no longer continue in the post.

The Vatican: Conclave To Elect Pope To Begin On Tuesday

Roman Catholic cardinals will start their conclave to elect a successor to Pope Benedict XVI on March 12, the Vatican says.

The secret vote to elect a new Pope is set to begin next Tuesday at the Vatican.
The Vatican press office said the decision was taken during a vote Friday afternoon of the College of Cardinals.
Only Cardinals who are under the age of 80 - 115 of them - can take part in the election, which is held behind locked doors in the Sistine Chapel.
