Homeless Teenager Graduates 2 Years Early With Full College Scholarship While Working All Throughout High School

While a lot of ADULTS would be held back by a devastatingly, unfortunate circumstance like homelessness, one DC teenager let it serve as the fuel to push her into academic success — all while holding down a 25-hour per week job and participating in extracurricular activities. 

MailOnline: A homeless Washington teenager managed to graduate high school two years early despite working 25 hours a week winning herself a full scholarship to college.

Destyni Tyree was living in the DC Central homeless shelter in Washington DC along with 243 other families when the then 14-year-old’s enrolled into Roosevelt S.T.A.Y. High School.

Indian College Student Kidnapped & Raped For 17 MONTHS

An Indian student says she was kidnapped, tortured and repeatedly raped by a canteen owner for 17 months after he drugged her food at college. The 20-year-old disappeared from her home in Hyderabad in April, 2012, and only managed to escape this month. 

News of the kidnap has sparked protests on the streets of Hyderabad and more than 15,000 people have joined an online campaign in support of the girl. Satyaprakash Singh, owner of a canteen at TRR College, has been arrested.

The case will be heard under the stricter laws of the Nirbhaya act, which was introduced this year following the gang rape and murder of a student on a bus in Delhi.

College Student Stabbed 58 Times & Sexually Assaulted Before Body Was Set On Fire

A 16-year-old girl was lured to a hotel on the bogus promise of a cleaning job before being stabbed 58 times and sexually assaulted, a court heard.

College student Sasha Marsden's body was then set on fire and dumped in an alleyway after she had been killed, a jury was told.

The teenager suffered 'terrible and catastrophic' injuries as she was stabbed 58 times to the head, neck and face with a kitchen knife. She 'struggled ferociously' in a vain attempt to fend off her 'sexually motivated' murderer David Minto, 23, in Blackpool, Lancashire, the court heard.

Police who found her body thought a mannequin had been set on fire because she had suffered such severe injuries, it was said. Her injuries were so bad that she could only be identified by DNA from her toothbrush, Preston Crown Court heard.
