Channels TV Chairman, John Momoh Elected BON Chairman

Chairman of Channels Media Group, owners of Channels TV, John Momoh was today elected the new Chairman of the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria, (BON). The election took place at the organization's annual delegate conference in Abuja.Momoh beat his opponent by polling 51 votes against Abbas Dalhatu from Freedom Radio, Kano who scored 12 votes. This is the first time a private television media owner would be occupying this position.

Video: Fearless 9 Year Old Girl Confronts Suspected Abductors

This young girl is bravery personified. Little Iyabo (renamed Blessing) was abducted at the age of 6, and the last 3 years of her life have been traumatic.
According to the Lagos State Police Command who rescued her, Iyabo had been sold to different people and made to work as a maid. She told reporters that she did domestic work in the various “homes” and each time she complained to people that she had been abducted, they beat her. She was on her way to school when a woman wearing a pudah took  her away in her car.

Eventually Iyabo was rescued and her abductors arrested. The police say they are currently working to nab the ringleader of the abductors, so Iyabo can be reunited with her family. But until then, the young girl will remain in custody of the police, while the suspects will be charged to court.

Stories About Myself & Iyanya Are Mere Publicity Stunt –Tonto Dike

So much have been said about Iyanya relationship with Tonto Dike and Yvonne Nelson. On a television talk show, Rubbing Minds, Iyanya said he would rather marry Genevieve, date Yvonne Nelson and dust Tonto Dike off.

In her reaction to the singer’s statement, the actress who was a guest at that same show last Sunday, said she wasn’t bothered about what Iyanya said. According to her, she hardly knew Iyanya and only loved him as a fan.

Dike said that the news about two of them being an item was untrue, describing the stories as mere publicity stunt. Read more after jump:

Nigeria's RnB diva, Tiwa Savage, has expressed her surprise at the success she's achieved in the Nigerian music industry in just about two years of coming on board.  Tiwa Savage revealed her amazement on Rubbin' Minds while reacting to a question about her fulfillment as an artiste in the industry.
"To be honest, I didn't think I will get this far, this quickly. It's literally being less than two years since I really came on the scene and for me to have two major endorsements, to have headlined shows with top artistes, to have a successful album which I've just released, it's beyond what I expected, so I give all glory to God" she stated. She traced her success to 'very hard work' as she explained her rigorous routine which includes her weekly writing of songs for Sony America, which she claimed she is still signed to. Ms Tiwa Savage also expressed how Nigerians humbled her regularly, despite her celebrity status This edition of Rubbin' Minds was anchored by a self-confessed, star-struck, Adebola Williams who stood in for Ebuka.
