Brit Awards 2016: Adele Dominates Ceremony With Four Awards

Adele has been crowned Queen of the Brits, winning four prizes including best British female and best album.

"To come back after so long away and be so warmly received means so much," she said.

The star, who closed the show by performing When We Were Young, also received best British single and the Global Success award.

The show also featured an emotional tribute to David Bowie, led by Annie Lennox and his friend Gary Oldman.

Lennox called Bowie, who died of cancer last month, "a quintessential visionary" and "the ultimate iconoclast."

Rihanna Make History As First Artiste With RIAA 100M Song Awards

Rihanna has made history as the first and only artist in RIAA Gold & Platinum history to be certified with 100 million song awards. This means Rihanna has become the first and only artist to surpass RIAA's 100 million cumulative singles award threshold.

Rihanna has more reasons to celebrate. After topping the Billboard 200 with ANTI this week, the “Work” singer has added some major milestones to her already illustrious career.

She becomes the first and only artist in RIAA Gold & Platinum history to be certified with 100 million song awards.

BBA Housemate Elikem Proposes to Pokello on Stage at the Ghana Music Awards

Last night at the Ghana Music Awards in Accra Ghana, BBA The Chase Housemate Elikem proposed to his former BBA Housemate & girlfriend Pokello as they climbed the stage to announce the winner of one of the categories at the awards night. Pokello, who wasn't expecting the very public proposal, said later that it made her go numb.

Elikem, who is Ghanaian and Pokello who is from Zimbabwe met and started dating during the 8th season of Big Brother Africa...and continued their romance after their eviction.

The City People Entertainment Awards has been the biggest showbiz event in Nigeria since its inception. The clout of the annual event is not in doubt because it is the only awards event that covers showbiz in its entirety.  The awards recognize and honours deserving individuals in music, movies and comedy and have since received a massive embrace from everyone within and outside the showbiz industry.

AFRICAN GLOBAL DJ AWARDS NOW HOLDING IN LAGOS ON THE 13th OF JULY 2013

African Global DJ Awards 2013 is still on the roll and we are all gearing up for the premiere of this phenomenal and groundbreaking event.

The Awards Organised by Africans for Africans at home and in Diaspora was billed to hold on the 4th of May at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa . There has been a change in the venue of the event and this was made known via press conference that held on the 7^th of June in Lagos Nigeria. The African Global DJ Awards 2013  has been moved and is happening right here in Lagos, Nigeria on the 13th of July 2013, at the Oriental Hotel, Ozumba Mbadiwe Way, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Prof Dora Akunyili Bags US health award

Former Minister of Information, Prof. Dora Akunyili, has been honoured with the ‘2013 Healthcare Foundation Leadership Award’ in the United States.

The award organised by the Hackensack University Health Network in New Jersey, in collaboration with a US-based firm with the Nigerian Healthcare Foundation, took place at the 8th Annual Faces of Hope Banquet over the weekend. Presenting the award, the Chairman of Hackensack University Medical Centre, Dr. Jeffrey Boscamp, commended the former Director-General of the Nigerian National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control for her industry and commitment to honesty, transparency and selfless service.

He noted that Akunyili’s immense contribution to the fight against fake medicine in Nigeria and West African sub-region would always be remembered, particularly her visionary leadership in health care.
