The 23-year-old went to relieve herself when she arrived at the local clinic but she pushed her baby out and it fell into the toilet!
Rachel Maluleke (26), who was at the clinic told Daily Sun: “Winnie was sitting next to me before she rushed out to the toilet. After 10 minutes, she came back crying. She had blood on her hands and was crying so much she couldn’t speak.
“She told me she had accidentally delivered her baby into the toilet. The nurse then called the police.”A nurse said: “Emergency services opened one of the pipes at the back of the toilet. We couldn’t believe our eyes when we discovered the baby was still alive. It’s a miracle she lived. She was down there for six hours.”
Winnie and her baby were taken to the Hospital.
“We rushed to the clinic with the risk management team and we were able to save the baby,” an officer said. -
