HORRIFYING footage captures the moment a little girl was dragged along a road after her backpack got stuck in the doors of a school bus.
The girl, thought to be five or six years old, was pulled at least 100ft by the bus – whose driver did not notice what had happened – on a residential street in Warren, Michigan.
It was only after a driver saw what was going on and chased the bus in his car, that the girl's terrifying ordeal came to an end.
The girl was taken to Kosair Children's Hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
Neighbour Esther Karschner said she saw the speeding car and then realised what was going on.
"She was talking and, at the end, she wanted to see her mummy. I am thankful, very thankful [that she wasn’t badly hurt]," Esther said.
Tom Carman, who caught the incident on camera, said: "I couldn’t believe it – her bouncing around in that door all the way down the street. It was bad."
Jefferson County Public Schools administrators have said they are investigating the incident.
