Marijuana Finally Legalised In Jamaica

RASTAFARIANS the world over have been left somewhat confused – as it turns out it has been illegal to smoke weed in Jamaica all along.

For years the island's most dedicated rastafari have been freely smoking the plant in the country.
And yet it has only been made legal today, with a law being passed to decriminalise small amounts of weed.
Jamaicans can also now grow and cultivate up to five marijuana plants at any given property.
Providing individuals are found to own less than 2oz of the drug, it will be considered a petty crime and not go on their personal record.

This news comes as Alaska became the third US state to legalise recreational marijuana.
However both countries' authorities have been quick to stress the illegality of cross-border drug trafficking.
