of Africa. Head of Talent for The Gidi Culture Festival, Asa Asika says,
“Following the success of last year’s maiden edition, booking the talent for
this year has been a breeze. Our artists have an understanding of what we’re
building and see the opportunity to express themselves, through their music not
only in front of thousands but also alongside their peers from across the
continent. We’re giving our audience a super diverse lineup this year with a
great range of performers, musicians, DJs and dancers. With the continent on
one stage, it will be a great show with amazing vibes. On April 4th, we’re
making history. Clear your calendars”.
Last year’s edition of the GCFest
brought 4,500 festivalgoers to Elegushi Beach where they enjoyed both daytime
activities and music from the Nigeria’s best artists and DJs. With a new
location, a reinvigorated lineup, and an unbeatable list of partners, the
GCFest promises to be the biggest beach festival on the continent of Africa.

About Gidi Culture
Festival
The Gidi Culture Festival was founded by Chin Okeke, Teme Banigo and
Bimbo Shittu with the intention of providing live, affordable, accessible
entertainment to the African youth. Realizing that the demand for quality
entertainment is not class specific, GCFest works to break down socioeconomic
barriers with an entertainment offering that appeals to youth-‐minded
individuals. This platform curates and represents African talent with the goal
of exporting GCFest into foreign markets by 2018.
