Cristobal Ortiz Rodriguez, 38, pleaded guilty to 11 felony counts of lewd and lascivious acts on a child under 14 and four felony counts of continuous sexual abuse.
His brother, Eduardo Ortiz Rodriguez, 36, pleaded guilty to 15 felony counts of lewd and lascivious acts on a child under 14 and two felony counts of continuous sexual abuse.
Both defendants were expected to be sentenced in May to 50 years in state prison and lifetime sex offender registration, according to a news release from the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
The crimes began in 2010, while the brothers lived in a converted garage outside a home in Fullerton.
Prosecutors said the brothers were able to gain access to two young girls, ages 3 and 7, who were living in the neighborhood.
The disturbing details are as follows:
Between May 2010 and August 2011, brothers repeatedly molested the girls, prosecutors said. At times the brothers were both present; on other occasions they acted alone, according to the release.
The sexual conduct included touching, masturbation, digital penetration, oral copulation, and showing pornographic images to the victims.
Prosecutors said the brothers bribed the girls not tell anyone about the sexual abuse with candy and ice cream.
The 7-year-old girl eventually told a family member what was happening, resulting in the arrests of the brothers in August 2011.
