The Nigeria
police in Ogun have arrested a 30-year-old panel beater, Wasiu Yusuf, for
allegedly stabbing his friend, Adeolu Olatoye, to death in Abeokuta. Another
suspect in the alleged killing of the 32-year-old graphic artist, Mukaila
Popoola, is currently on the run.
The
suspect’s wife, 26-year-old Busayo, is also in detention at the Adatan Police
Station. The victim, the suspect and his alleged accomplice lived in the same
premises before the incident.
Yusuf and
his accomplice in their residence in the Oke-Efon area of Abeokuta for
allegedly having an affair with his wife allegedly killed Adeolu. Olatoye was
said to have met his death barely two weeks after he named his newborn child.
