Herbalist Marries 18 Year Old Girl As 57th Wife

A 69 year old herbalist, Chief Simon Odo, who married an 18 year old girl, Chidinma, as his 57th wife last November has said that he would not marry again, having had a fair of women in his life.

Chidinma was married from Okutu, in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State. Odo, also known variously as Onuwa, King Solomon of Africa or King of Satan was however married to 68 women but some of them had earlier died. 

However, Odo spoke in an interview with the South East Voice at his palatial home at Aji, Enugu Ezike in Igboeze North Local Government Area of Enugu State. Emeka, first son, Franca, one of the wives and Onuwa Onuwa who was armed with an Onward note book where names of his wives and over 200 children were listed according to their dates of birth said that his first son, Emeka was born on December 15, 1969.

CBS News: Jackson County prosecutors said in court documents that they believe the marriage was intended to prevent Shellana Victoria Davis from testifying against Joseph L. Nelson under the state’s spousal privilege law.

Nelson, 23, is charged with killing his ex-girlfriend, 17-year-old Bianca Fletcher, her boyfriend, and her and Nelson’s son on Sept. 8.

According to prosecutors, Davis told police she saw Nelson shoot Fletcher after he threw something at him during an argument.

Mexican Mayor Marries Crocodile

The mayor of a Mexican fishing town has married a crocodile in an elaborate ceremony where the bride wore white and guests danced with the reptile.

The reptile is a princess, according to local tradition, and it is hoped the nuptials will boost catches of fish, shrimp and other seafood along the Pacific coast.

Before the ceremony, the wedding party walked with the crocodile bride through the southern Mexican town of San Pedro Huamelula.

"It's my wish to marry the young princess," mayor Joel Vasquez Rojas said as the pair tied the knot.

Jodie Foster has married her girlfriend Alexandra Hedison. The two-time Oscar winner has been dating the 44-year-old photographer for almost a year.

The couple have kept their relationship private but have been seen together at events in Los Angeles and New York. Few details have been revealed about their wedding which was at the weekend.

Hedison dated TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres for three years before splitting in 2004.

Foster, 51, made a speech at last year's Golden Globes which was widely seen as her official coming-out.
