Princes Adetutu Adesida Ojei Installed As Deji of Akure


A new regent, Princes Adetutu Adesida Ojei was yesterday installed to fill the stool of the Deji of Akure which became vacant on December 1, this year.

The battering of late Bolanle by the deposed monarch on May 30, 2010, lead to his removal and banishment on June 10, 2010 by the state government. However, the occupier of the stool that was vacant on December 1, the late Oba Adebiyi Adesida, joined his ancestors after reigning for three years and three months.

Princes Ojei, a pharmacist based in the United Kingdom, is the first female child of the late Oba Adesida.

Man Beheads Friend For Money Ritual


A 25-year old commercial motorcycle rider identified as Wasiu, is currently cooling his heels at the Ondo State Crime Investigation Bureau, SCIB, for allegedly beheading his friend, Joshua Fadeyi, 22, for money making ritual.

The incident, P.M.NEWS reliably gathered, happened recently.
Wasiu was arrested and taken to Oke-Igbo Police Station, and later transferred to SCIB, Akure for proper investigation. He allegedly confessed at the SCIB that a herbalist asked him to bring a human head for money making ritual.

Speaking on how it happened, Joshua’s uncle, Mr. Ademola Fadeyi, said they both came to his house on that fateful morning, ate and left at about 10am to drink palm wine at Oloruntade. He said after the palm wine drink, they went to the home of Samuel, one of their friends, at about 6pm, where Wasiu perpetrated the evil act.

Destiny Child Embarks on Nationwide Gospel Party (PRODUCT OF HOPE TOUR)


Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Hunt is launching the first ever gospel music nationwide party titled “PRODUCT OF HOPE” scheduled to commence July 4th to 14th July 2013. Product Of Hope gospel music tour is expected to activate Christian moral consciousness and to reassure believers and non-believers that there is always a testimony when the gospel is applied as a living manual.

The Tour, which is billed to take place in Lagos, Ilorin, Akure, Calabar, Port Harcourt, Makurdi and Abuja, will feature the six finalists of Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Hunt Season One. The fast rising gospel music stars have metamorphosed into a group known as the Supreme Six. The group consists of - Israel Funsho (winner) Femi Flame (1st runner up), Rasine Brown (2nd runner - up) and the three finalists: Shalom, King David and Frances. The Supreme Six will be performing their hit singles during the tour, which begins from 4th to 14th of July 2013.
