China to Help Nigeria Overcome Development Bottlenecks

The Charge d’Affairs, embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Nigeria, Mr. Jian Qin, has said that his country is ready and willing to help Nigeria overcome the bottlenecks to its economic and social development.
Qin stated that China would support Nigeria to fast track its industrialization and agricultural modernization through infrastructural development, and provision of finance.

The envoy said this on Friday in Abuja during the 95th anniversary of the Communist Party of China.
Qin stated that China is pleased that since President Muhammadu Buhari took over, his government has been committed to economic development and improvement of peoples’ welfare.

He said, “At present, China is working closely with Nigeria and preferentially supporting Nigeria at breaking three bottlenecks that hamper Nigeria’s industrialization and agricultural modernization, including lagging infrastructure, shortage of professionals and lack of finance, so as to make early and more harvest in implementation of the outcomes of the Summit of Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Johannesburg and the state visit by President Buhari to China.”
The diplomat stressed that China has a firm political willingness and commitment to seek development through cooperation with Nigeria, noting that the two countries have huge potential and broad prospects.
According to Qin, China has sufficient fund and mature technologies, a large number of industries and surplus production capacity which have a need for overseas deployment.
Speaking on the CPC, the envoy explained that the organisation had grown from a small political party in 1921 into a large ruling party with 67 years experience in governance and 80 million members.
“The development history of the CPC can be divided into three stages of revolution, construction and reform,” Qin added.
