Brandy Sues Her Record Label For $1 Million

Brandy Norwood, this week filed a lawsuit against her record label Chameleon Entertainment to not only void her contract but also asking that they pay up to $1 million in compensatory damages.

According to the singer, the label will not let her release new music, nor record a new album in efforts to pressure her into signing a new contract.

According to Entertainment Weekly, her attorneys are accusing the label of making a “blatantly unlawful attempt to bully Norwood into signing a new recording and distribution agreement containing terms far worse than her current agreement.”

In fact, the new contract they want Brandy to sign entitles them to a portion of her acting and touring money, and she is not here for that!

Brandy nor the label have released a public statement on the issues.
