American Woman Has Stretched Her Neck To Five Inches With A Brass Coil

Some women want bigger boobs, others want a smaller waist… this woman wants a longer neck.

An American woman with an obsession with Burmese tribes has stretched her neck to five inches using a brass coil necklace.

29-year-old Sydney, who lives in LA, has spent $1,000 (approximately £660) creating a brass neck ring to stretch her neck, in the hope of looking more like the Pandaung women of the Burmese Kayan tribe.

So far she has managed to stretch her neck to five inches long, and is hoping to stretch it by another three inches by adding nine more rings to her necklace.

Unsurprisingly it gets pretty hot and sweaty under the brass coils, and Sydney – who only removes the necklace twice a year – explained how she cleans under it with a baby wipe on the end of a tooth brush.

Despite health warnings from her doctor, Sydney insists she has no plans to stop this dangerous obsession any time soon.

Talking on TLC’s Strange Addictions she said: ‘The idea of stopping has not crossed my mind, because it’s been in my mind my whole life.’
