Depressed Thai Woman Jumps Into Crocodile Pit To Commit Suicide

NYDailyNews reports: A depressed Thai woman killed herself by jumping into a zoo’s crocodile pit, it’s claimed.

Wanpen Inyai leaped into the enclosure — which contains about a thousand crocodiles — at Samut Prakarn Crocodile Farm & Zoo in Bangkok.

The 65-year-old, who’d walked to the tourist attraction alone, was reportedly ripped apart by the ravenous reptiles.

Cops were called and arrived to find zoo keepers desperately trying to shoo away the dangerous beasts, which were feasting on her body.
Her family, meanwhile, had reported her missing. But they were told to wait 24 hours before a search could be started.

Inyai was later identified after her healthcare card floated to the surface of the enclosure pond’s water, reports the Bangkok Post.

DNA tests on her remains confirmed her ID, said Muang Samut Prakarn police investigator Pol Col Preecha Iamnui.

Inyai’s sister Sunan Tharmna told the Post that her sibling had been depressed and had not spoken to anyone for several days before her death.
