Nollywood Actress Chika Ike was Once upon a time nominated in the Scandal Free category of the Best of Nollywood award. Back then, the actress was seen as one with talents, good looks and of course, no scandal.
Chika still has her good looks and talents, but the trait of ‘scandal free’ died almost as soon as she was seen as one. Today, she has got enough scandals to last her a life time.
Apart from her young marriage crashing and her estranged hubby allegedly putting her house help in the family way, it was rumoured that Ike also left her home because her ex was beating her black and blue.
And no sooner than Chika took the ‘single girl’ status that grapevine came up with the stories of how the babe was living large in the nation’s capital courtesy of a money bag.
No matter the scandals or rumours, dear Chika is no longer a starry-eyed actress; the babe has developed thick skin and of course, having a swell time. So many people no longer remember her as a ‘once married’.
The babe is hot on the social scene and on social media. There really is no social event that Chika fails to attend. But no matter the scandals, Chika is still loved by many, winning awards and not wanting the new comers to overshadow her.
Also a humanitarian, her philanthropic side paid off recently as Chika was given an award recently- the Icon of Hope award. No matter how she is perceived by critics, Indeed, Chika Ike is an icon of hope.
