She
goes by the name Susan Opute-Somosu a.k.a Don Sussy. The soft spoken business
lady whose enterprise extends even to the property industry and fashion sect is
the major hair extension entrepreneur in Namibia. The graduate of Mathematics
and Statistics from University of Lagos is a certified Oracle/Data Base
professional and also a Master Degree holder in Business Administration.
The
astute business lady, who was born in Lagos but hails from Delta State, says
her love for music stemmed from an assistance to an upcoming talent (who asked
she manage him) from where she grew to love the industry.
She
is a staunch believer in setting milestones a fete she exemplifies with the
enviable position of being the first lady to own a record label in Nigeria. She
is the C.E.O of “SUSTONES RECORDS”.
The
record label, which is barely a year old, is bent on taking the music industry
to a different level of professional with the fastidious business acumen of its
owner.
Don
Sussy is a patriotic go-getter who has carried on the Nigerian tradition of
never-say-die and has made so much impact in Namibia where she currently
resides that she is recognised as a music industry power house over there. But
like the saying goes, charity begins at home that is why she has decided to
flag off her record label Sustones Records back home in Nigeria. And she has
come to stay in a music industry that has the world at awe with its vast
talents causing quite a stir globally.
Her
personal mantra “make hard work and prayer your habit; success would be
your lifestyle”, shows that Don Sussy is an iron lady who would make a
mark in the Nigeria music industry.
The
first artiste signed to Sustones Records by name Naija Boy who currently
relocated to Nigeria is in the studios recording his fresh debut singles under
Sustones Records with notable producers at Sustones Studios and would soon hit the
airwaves.
