Nicki Minaj is not down
for American Idol. In the least surprising news of the day, an insider tells Us
Weekly that the singer will depart this Fox competition immediately
following this week's finale.
"It's safe to say she
isn't coming back to Idol,"
the source says, adding that Nicki will start focusing on her next album,
touring, and endorsements. "She's okay with it. She had a great time but
was only going to do one season anyway."
Randy Jackson has already resigned from Idol and producers are expected to
replace the entire panel some time this summer. Among those reportedly being
considered: Harry Connick Jr., Justin Bieber
and Selena Gomez.
