This is a response from Femi Fani-Kayode to Ali Modu Sherif. Read his response below:

Lying Ali Modu Sheriff told Channels TV that I sent people to beg him for claiming that he was Boko Haram.

These are the lies of a desperate and drowning man. He came to destroy the PDP and if we did not rise up against him and kick him out when we did he would have succeeded in his mission. 

I am proud to have been the first to see him for what he is and to publicly blow the whistle on him.

Are Christians Second Class Citizens in Nigeria? - By Femi Fani-Kayode

I am glad that Father Mbaka of the Catholic Church has finally seen the light and that he has denounced the Buhari regime. This coming from a man that once supported the President vigorously, even when members of his own flock and faith were being slaughtered, marginalised and humiliated, is cheery news.

Yet there are still many more Church leaders that supported the Buhari government, that sold their souls to the devil and that need to follow Mbaka's example and recant.

The great philosopher, writer and intellectual Mr. Dante Alighieri once said that "the hottest place in hell is reserved for those who maintain their neutrality at a time of moral crisis".

To add to this it was our very own Professor Wole Soyinka, the distinguished Nobel Laureate, that said "the man died in him who remained silent in the face of tyrrany".

High Court Dismisses Fani-Kayode’s Law Suit Challenging His Detention

The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Apo, Abuja, on Wednesday dismissed a fundamental human rights enforcement suit filed by a former Minister of Aviation Mr. Femi Fani-Kay‎ode, seeking an order releasing him from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Fani-Kayode, the spokesperson for the then Peoples Democratic Party’s Presidential Campaign Organisation‎ for the 2015 election, ‎had filed the suit following his arrest by the EFCC on May 9, 2016 with respect to criminal allegations relating to diversion of funds meant for arms procurement to political campaigns.

EFCC Files 17 Count Charge Against Ex Minister Fani-Koyode

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has filed a 17-count charge against a former Aviation Minister and Spokesman for the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation, Mr Femi Fani-Kayode over an alleged 1.5 billion Naira fraud.

A former Minister of Finance, Senator Nenadi Usman, a firm – Joint Trust Dimensions Limited – one Danjuman Yusuf and another Olubode Oke, (said to be at large) were also charged alongside Mr Fani-Kayode. The defendants are expected to be arraigned at the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos as soon as the case is assigned to a judge.

A copy of the charge showed that while Mr Fani-Kayode was named in all 17 counts, the former Finance Minister was only named in the first four counts of the charge.

It is with the foregoing in mind that we must examine and critically analyse the performance of the Buhari administration. I have nothing personally against President Muhammadu Buhari and, as he knows, I have the utmost respect for his office.

 

Yet, like Oliver Cromwell and Sir Thomas More, despite the sign of the times and the hazards and perils of standing against injustice and tyranny, we must rid ourselves of our fears and speak the bitter truth. And that truth is as follows.

The more our government persecutes its perceived enemies, the more they are sowing the seeds of disintegration in our country. The more they oppress and attempt to intimidate those they seek to silence and subjugate, the more they engender anger, rebellion, alienation, enmity and division. 

EFCC Traces N3bn Transfers to Fani-Kayode, Falae, Others

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has traced N3.145bn transferred to the private accounts of some members of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation.

According to detectives at the EFCC, the money emanated from the account of the Central Bank of Nigeria and was transferred to the account of a company, Joint Dimensions Limited, and then sent to various accounts.

Authorities of the anti-graft commission said out of the money, the Director of Publicity of the organisation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, received N840m.

According to the documents sighted by a Punch correspondent, the money was deposited into Fani-Kayode’s Zenith bank account, Maitama Branch with number 1004735721 on February 19, 2015.

The Saga Continues: Bianca Ojukwu Rejects Fani Kayode’s Apology, Says It Is Unsatisfactory

Mrs Bianca Ojukwu has rejected Chief Femi Fani-Kayode’s withdrawal of his comments wherein he claimed he had an intimate relationship with her in his article Neither a tribalist nor a hater”  saying that the Fani’s statement was only a riposte.

Fani-Kayode on September 6 withdrew his comments in the two newspapers after he was given a 7 day ultimatum by Bianca’s lawyers to retract his statements and offer an unreserved apology to her in The Sun and Thisday newpapers. However, Kayode in his statement insisted that he knew Mrs Ojukwu in the 1980s and that some of those who knew she was his girlfriend are still living.

A Word For Yarima And The Paedophiles In Power — Fani-Kayode

I  expressed my concerns about the issue of paedophilia and child brides in Nigeria quite extensively in an essay that I wrote last week titled ‘’A Nation Of Perverts And Paedophiles’’ which was widely published and which attracted a lot of rejoinders and commentries from other writers and commentators from both sides of the divide. I do not intend to cover the same ground or repeat the same arguements here but kindly permit me to make a final contribution to the debate in this piece.

The good news is that no matter what anyone thinks or says and regardless of whichever side of the divide one is on, when it comes to this issue, at least the Nigerian people are now talking about a subject which, hitherto, had been regarded as being ‘’off limits’’ and taboo and which had been essentially swept under the carpet. I commend the Nigerian press, the website magazines, the bloggers and the electronic media for standing firm, rising up to the occassion and bringing the matter alive and one can only hope and pray that they will keep the fire burning by continuing to reflect the heated discussions and various opinions on this issue.
