Woman Drank Her Own BREAST MILK To Survive After Getting Lost In The Forest

A NEW mum who got lost on a gruelling 20km run through deep forest was forced to drink her own breast milk to survive the night in a move that Bear Grylls would be proud of.

Susan O'Brien set off with a group of runners for the challenge on Sunday but she never returned.
When her desperate brother Lester couldn't find his sister at the finish line of the Xterra Welling Trail Running Series in New Zealand fear set in.
He called police and posted a message on the event's Facebook page for help.
It turned out fitness instructor Susan, 29 – who has an eight month old daughter Meisha – spent a night outside in the bush after failing to find her way back to the running route.

She said she thought she was going to die during the night of heavy winds and rain.
A rescue helicopter with heat-seeking equipment tracked her down at around 11.30am today, more than 24 hours after her ordeal began.
Susan wept with relief when she was reunited with her family.
She said: "I got lost and got stuck in some bushes and I thought that was it.
"I wanted to carry on but I got too exhausted so I just dug a hole.
"I didn't have a life blanket, I thought I was going to die."

She went on: "I'm breastfeeding my baby so I had a bit of my milk. I thought that should help me keep going, for energy.
"I'm not a very good orienteering woman.
"I definitely thought I was going to die."
