A COUPLE were arrested amid disturbing accusations they forced their 12-year-old daughter to have sex with a stranger while filming the rape.
Ricardo Navarro Allende and Lorena Isela Cortinas allegedly plotted to sell the sickening tapes to a paedo ring in their home city of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
Cortinas claims she and her husband only took part in the horrific scheme because a man had vowed to buy them a new van and home.
Police were alerted after the child's grandmother reported the pair.
"We are investigating whether the family was part of a gang or a network trafficking in child pornography," a spokesman said.
The Special Prosecutor for Attention to Women Victims of Crime has accused the pair of forcing their daughter – who cannot be identified for legal reasons – to have sex.
Both Allende and Cortinas are now in custody pending charges.
They are said to have organised multiple secret meetings at a hotel in the past few months.
In the room Cortinas would record her daughter having sex as well as taking explicit photos of her.
Proceso reports the pair were busted by police as they walked through Ciudad Juarez.
The Attorney General's Office is expected to make further arrests in the case.
