'I'm Not Who I Pretended To Be' Justin Bieber Apologises For 'Arrogance' In Cringey Video

THANKS to his various run-ins with the law, egging his neighbour's house and trying to steal Eminem's hairdo, Justin Bieber hasn't exactly won over anti-Beliebers in the past year.

But the pop brat has decided to shed his irritating persona to apologise for all his wrongdoings in an emotional – and very awkward – video confession.
The 20-year-old appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show yesterday, and acted rather nervously as he chatted to the host and gave her flowers and Calvin Klein underwear (great product placement) for her birthday.
After the TV appearance, Bieber tweeted the link to a video, explaining his behaviour on the show.
With his face nearly concealed by shadows, Justin said: "I was really nervous. I think I was nervous because I'm afraid what people are thinking about me right now. It's been a minute since I've been in a public appearance. I didn't want to come off arrogant or conceited, or basically how I've been acting the last year, year and a half."

But all that cringey behaviour since the beginning of 2014 was an act, apparently.
The Boyfriend singer continued: "I'm not who I was pretending to be. Often, we pretend to be something we're not as a cover up for what we're truly feeling inside. And there was a lot of feelings going on there.
"Being young and growing up in this business is hard. Growing up in general is hard. I felt awkward up there, I felt like people were judging me."
Justin finished off by adding: "I really want people to know how much I care about people. I'm not that person to say 'I don't give a f***.' Although what has happened in the past has happened, I just want to make the best impression on people."

Unsurprisingly, the Biebs' bizarre apology was greeted with gushing replies from the Beliebers, with one devoted fan writing: "I literally love you so much, I feel so sappy crying at this but I am so proud of how much maturing you've done in the past year. The past is in the past and eventually people will forgive and forget."
In an effort to prove how mature he is being, Justin has volunteered for a Comedy Central Roast, where comedians will make merciless jokes about Bieber's entire life and career.
What do you reckon – incredibly brave or incredibly stupid?
