Chris Brown Rejects Plea Deal In D.C. Assault Case

R&B crooner Chris Brown has reportedly declined the chance at a plea deal in the D.C. assault case pending against him after heading to court.

Singer Chris Brown rejected a plea deal on his misdemeanor assault charges in D.C. court Wednesday.

Sources previously confirmed to ABC7 News that plea deal negotiations had been taking place between Brown and his lawyers and D.C. prosecutors – but apparently, Brown was not happy with the deal offered.

No details of the plea deal he rejected are available at this time.  Since the plea deal was rejected, Brown could be forced to face trial in D.C.
Family members of Brown as well as fellow musicians and his bodyguard Christopher Hollosy were present at the courthouse in a show of support for Brown.

Brown was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault in October when victim Parker Adams pressed charges after Brown allegedly assaulted him on Oct. 27 outside the W Hotel in D.C.

Brown allegedly stopped to take a photo with two female fans – one of which was Adams’ girlfriend – outside the hotel. Adams reportedly tried to get into the photo, allegedly prompting both Brown and his bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, to punch him, causing his nose to bleed, and staining his shirt.
