Photo: Girl Slashes Rival Over Love Affair with Her Man

A teenager, Haliya Odunaya, now has to abandon school for a while, pending when the deep cut inflicted on her neck by another young girl, Funmilola who accused her of messing around with her boyfriend, would heal. Haliya, an SS2 student, is lying critically ill at Stars Clinic on Apapa Road, Ebute Metta West, Lagos where doctors are battling hard to save her life.
National Mirror reports that when Haliya, 15, lives with her parents at Shomore, on Ilogbo area of Oyingbo in Lagos Mainland Local Government Area of the state, was rushed to the hospital on Saturday, March 15, 2014, not many believed that she would make it.

It was learnt that one Funmilola, a couple of weeks before the incident, had approached Haliya when she started noticing she was being close with her lover. Funmilola had reportedly warned Haliya to stay off her man, reportedly threatening to go any length with anyone she found around the man. It was even gathered that a day before she attacked Haliya, Funmilola reportedly stripped another lady stark naked in the same locality for the same reason.

Olusola Akinmiwasi, 35, is currently in the custody of the Ondo State Police Command after he was accused of attacking one Oriola Akinduko with a machete, killing him in the process. According to a report made at the Idanre Police Station by Oriola’s elder brother, Kola Akinduko, the incident occurred at the residence of a woman known as Aina Afolabi, at Opa Road in Idanre.

Oriola and Aina were said to be making love, when Akinmiwasi burst into their room through a window with a machete, inflicting deep cuts on them.

Akinmiwasi was reported to have received information that Oriola was in the house of the lady who he was apparently dating.

Although help came on time, the victims bled profusely, leading to the death of Oriola while he was being rushed to a nearby hospital.
