The crowd at the New Afrika Shrine can only be described as massive. The shrine was filled
to the brim even as many struggled to get inside to catch the excitement live. Top rate musicians like Wizkid, Waje, Temi Dollface,
Aiyetoro Band, Seyi Shay, Sean Tizzle, SolidStar, and Kayswtich were on hand to thrill
the mammoth crowd.
Perhaps the most anticipated performance of the night, Wizzy
practically shut the place down as he took the surging crowd through his
numerous hits.
Starting from “No lele” off his debut album, he ran
through other songs, performing with the full complement of a band as the
audience sang along rapturously. At a point, he was joined by legendary Femi
Kuti as they both performed “Jaiye Jaiye” to the immense delight of
the crowd.
