GRAPHIC PHOTOS: World's First Baby Born Without SKIN Stuns Medical Experts

THESE horrific images show a baby born with an extremely rare condition leaving her without any skin.

The baby suffers from a severe condition which leaves the entire body encased in thick white plates separated by deep cracks.

Paediatrician Dr Yash Banait has said the tragic girl will have to moisturise her skin for the whole of her life.

He said: "There is no cure for this disorder. All that medical science can do is try to keep the baby alive."

This painful disease leaves the afflicted child with grotesque features and requires constant treatment.

The baby will have to have petroleum jelly and coconut oils applied to her skin and take special nutritional supplements.

She was born by a Caesarean section to a 23-year-old in the Indian city of Amravati.

There is no cure for Harlequin Ichthyosis condition, which affects one in 300,000 births.

Skin grafting is a possible course of action, but doctors say that they will be unable to perform that procedure as the baby has no skin on her body at all.

Doctors also said that the child was not experiencing any breathing difficulties and she was in a stable condition.

A baby with the same condition lived for 24 years after being born in Pakistan in 1984.

Another child with the terrifying condition was reportedly born in the USA in 1994.

Last year an agonised woman with flesh-like "snake skin" defied the disease by outliving her family.
